Casa Texoma

We loved Casa Texoma! The property is even better than the pictures. The caretakers prepared amazing meals and took great care of us despite the language barrier. The location is ideal for visiting Tulum, Playa and Akumal with many restaurant options and shops. Lots of cenotes in the area too! Definitely rent a car and consider arranging any tours prior to arrival. We would definitely stay again! LOVED it!”

La casa es amplia y bien ubicada. El acceso al mar es una ventaja enorme. Disfrutamos mucho nuestra estancia. El personal encargado de limpieza es muy amable. Podrían bajar los costos para preparar comidas ya que cobran $12 por persona por plato, lo cual para Mexico es exagerado.”

Wonderful Stay !

Amazing Vacation at Casa Texoma!

We all absolutely LOVED our vacation at Casa Texoma! It is a beautiful home, very nicely appointed in the most beautiful spot right on the beach in Akumal. The home is extremely well maintained and spotlessly clean always. The caretakers, Leti and Chencho are amazing and prepared several breakfasts and dinners for us while we were there, and cleaned the home daily. They even have snorkeling equipment, life vests, paddle boards and kayaks for our use! We felt very safe and protected in a gated neighborhood with 24 hour security. We would absolutely come back for another stay! The only comment I have is for anyone with foot or knee issues, there are a lot of stairs. Might not be a good choice for toddlers or elderly. Very challenging situation

My grown children and grandchildren were the guests, not me. Their reports were terrible and they left after one night for a local hotel. Equity Residences has been unresponsive so far about making the experience right. A home to avoid. ”

Beautiful, private beachfront home

We spent a fantastic week here enjoying this spacious and beautifully-furnished house, the beach immediately at our doorstep, the peaceful and quiet neighborhood, and the access to countless sights and activities. We also loved just relaxing in the hammock with a book. Chencho and Leti, the charming couple who provide cooking and housecleaning services, made us several delicious dinners and a couple of great breakfasts. We also invited friends over for cocktails on the patio one evening and Leti made us margaritas, guacamole, and some of the best ceviche I've ever had. When we did go out to explore the restaurant scene we had a couple of memorable dinners in Tulum, a foodie destination about 1/2 hour drive away. Arca and Rosa Negra were both top notch. As far as nearby activities, the Rio Secreto tour was spectacular, and the ruins at Tulum overlooking the sea are beautiful. We hope to go back to Casa Texoma again.”

Wonderful Place

Casa Texoma was a wonderful place. The house is presented to a high standard and the views couldn’t be closer to the ocean without falling in! However what made this such a special break was the wonderful welcome from and the exceptional way our house couple Chenko, Lety and their daughters looked after us. We would love to return, if only to have the pleasure of seeing all of them again as truly lovely people for whom nothing was too much trouble. Having the luxury of supper at home made it even more special as the meals Lety cooked were lovely and those views would have been hard to beat! Although not done to the high standard of the rest of the house, we used the roof terrace a lot as this is where you get the afternoon sun. Well worth the 20 min car trip to Tulum as there are some great beach bars/restaurants and beach clubs, plenty of variety and the whole place has a lovely bohemian vibe. We would return to Casa Texoma in a heartbeat! ”
