Punta Ixtapa Adventure

The Villa Lujo condo, located in Punta Ixtapa, was a relaxing hub for 3 friends wanting a relaxing week on Mexico's west coast. Located about 20 minutes north of Zihuatanejo, Punta Ixtapa is a gated community with 3 of the most beautiful and secluded beaches in all of Mexico. Our condo was a short walk from Don Rodrigo Beach and the Don Rodrigo Beach Club. From this location we snorkeled from the beach, ate a delicious lunch everyday and relaxed poolside with fresh guacamole and margaritas. The Punta Ixtapa complex was a walker's delight with paths through ferns, palms and tropical plants. We thoroughly enjoyed access to the Club Playa Quieta that offered us the chance to kayak and paddleboard off of Punta Ixtapa's longest beach. Included in our stay at Villa Lujo was a delicious cooked breakfast every day from our housekeeper and a large outside deck. Owner, Ignacio, was extremely helpful to us in finding things to do and learning all the development had to offer. Downtown Ixtapa was 10 minutes away with several eating establishments offering traditional Mexican food and even a multi-screen sports bar so we could watch the Mens Basketball NCAA championship. Punta Ixtapa is simply a gem if you are looking for quiet and relaxation. The community is beautiful.....the beaches are lovely and private, the service and food at the clubs are outstanding and the condo is comfortable with the most spectacular views. Mr. Hernandez is possibly the most helpful host we’ve encountered through Third Home and Erma and Cecilia took wonderful care of us. We departed rested and wondering when we might go back! ”
