Casa Fiesta

Zihuatanejo is located on the Pacific Coast of Mexico in a region known as La Costa Grande and is a short, 45 minute flight from Mexico City into the Ixtapa Airport. Formerly a quiet fishing village, "z," as it is fondly called, is becoming the "go-to" spot for not only Mexicans in the know, but also jet-setters from California to Switzerland.

This private vacation home in Zihuatanejo, Casa Fiesta, is a magnificent 20,000 square foot home, has six bedrooms and nine bathrooms was built on the crest of a cliff, surrounded on three sides by panoramic ocean views. The rustic beauty of the home is accentuated by the use of natural materials in its unique design which blends contemporary ideals with native architecture.

Everyone gathers under the extraordinary central palapa – the heart of the home - whether it is for dining, lounging in the sun, or drinks and fun. The stunning central feature is a magnificently designed pool that begins under the palapa, providing shade, and continues as an infinity pool toward the pacific. Guests may also enjoy their favorite oscar-winning film in the screening room located directly below the pool.

Each of the 6 bedrooms has a private patio and amazing outdoor showers with brilliant vistas; fall asleep with the sounds of the ocean’s waves right outside your window, and feel revitalized and refreshed with the gold glow of the morning sun.

Casa fiesta includes complete staff (8) including house manager, chef, chauffeur, and housekeepers to take care of your every need.

Arrival at casa fiesta:
Upon your arrival the casa fiesta team will unpack and organize you in your room. Let them know if you have any laundry or ironing and they will be happy to assist you. Each room has it own safe should you want to secure your passport or valuables. There are six guest bedrooms, each beautifully decorated with private patio and ocean views and provided with a hairdryer .

#3 The casita – (1) king bed
#4 The sky bed – (1) king and (2) twin beds (loft)
#5 Top of the world – (2) queen beds
#6 The get away – (1) king bed

Meals:
I suggest on your day of arrival to dine in for both lunch and dinner; and leave the menu to our amazing chef, lubia. Unless of course you have specific requests or needs, lubia is happy to plan and organize all of your menus. Additionally, if you have special wines or alcohol brands, let the team know; we will be sure to have at the house prior to your arrival or we can always send out for whatever you like while you are there. Breakfast is served as guests wake and you can order as you like (there is always a special of the morning as well) with fruit served first then on to the good stuff … if you prefer, you may ring the kitchen for coffee or meal service in your room.

Daily activities:
Each morning i suggest you review with enrique what you would like to do for the day; lunch in or out, and the same with dinner. There is an activities book of fun things to do and restaurant recommendations. Enrique is happy to organize any outings and secure lunch or dinner reservations for you. We also have a great gal that does manicures and pedicures poolside, again a wonderful way to enjoy the day, please advise enrique what day you would like her onsite and the number of people. In addition to the activities we can assist you with in town, casa fiesta also comes complete with its own mexican fishing boat / cocktail cruiser, “si como no,” it can accommodate 8-10 people and is a great way to spend an afternoon or watching the sunset.

Bring along your ipod or cd’s as each room is equiped with its own stereo, as is the main lounge and disco/screening room. The house does have a small selection of dvds, or you may purchase additional dvds in town if we do not have your favorite. There is wireless capability for your computer and cellular service works well. However, i ask that guests use in their rooms for both, it sort of breaks the vacation mode (it’s really the only casa fiesta rule). For your convenience the facility is equipped with u.s. Friendly, 110 outlets

Casa fiesta team gratuities:
We are complete with a staff of 8, including a house manager, chef, barman, chauffer & housekeepers to care for your every need. Staff gratuities are at your discretion. However, the casa fiesta team is exceptional and i suggest usd $25-50 per day per guest for the staff; please give to enrique upon your departure and he will divide amongst the team. Payment in cash is preferred and there is atm/cash machines in town, and benito can assist with locations. There are daily minimums for withdrawals at some atms, so please check with enrique or the bank for information.

Airport arrival:
Getting to casa fiesta is simple, fly into ixtapa-zihuatanejo international airport (zih), direct flights are available from the u.s. And canada; or a quick 45-minute flight from mexico city. Please forward both your arrival and departure flight details to gaby and enrique. We will arrange for the house driver, benito, to meet you at the airport, look for the casa fiesta sign! House transportation is a suburban that comfortably seats 6. However, should you have a larger group and require additional transportation, you will need to advise to arrange for an additional suburban and driver, a taxi, or, if you prefer, you may book a rental car direct prior to your arrival. It is best to notify both gaby and enrique of any special needs or requirements you have, prior to your arrival. Please contact them by email and inform of any food allergies or preferences, baby sitting needs, or booking of entertainment such as mariachi’s or our own house band; this type of information, provided prior to your arrival, will help the team, and ensure your stay to be even more enjoyable.

Expenses:
Expenses for food & beverages, staffing ($1650.00 week), boat/cocktail cruiser and additional services requested are managed by Enrique each day. An itemized list of expenses along with receipts will be presented to you to settle prior to your departure.
