March 2024Spacious Penthouse but Resort lacks High End Luxury
Enjoyed great weather and gorgeous views all week! Although we dealt with a few unexpected issues, we managed to have a fun trip overall. Here are my key takeaways for future guests: (1)Crane Beach has waves and also had lots of seaweed so if you are looking for Caribbean calm and clear waters you need to go to the west coast of island (2) Taxi rides are very expensive so consider renting a car if you want to do a lot of exploring or off premise dining (3) Pools on the resort are fine but not luxurious; the small balcony pool was unusable during our stay (4) Mosquitos can get into the bedrooms because exterior doors don’t properly close all the way so if you are prone to bites (our kids were), I suggest having the resort install netting over the beds before your arrival (5) high demand for popular activities (Catamaran rides, sunset cruise) and popular off resort dining (Chompers, Primo…) so don’t miss out like us and book before your arrival! ”

July 2022Beautiful accommodations!
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Crane. Very spacious rooms. Great service from the staff… we enjoyed the live entertainment each night. the living area could use an update to the tv and quality of the channels. The kitchen provisions are very, very basic. The food in the restaurants are sub par. We mostly ate off site. The Tides $$$ restaurant was amazing! Exchange rate is 7 to $1US. This side of the island had a major issue . Take your Roku! There was a major issue with seaweeds…rendering the beach at the hotel unusable. We drove to other beaches, and highly recommend getting a rental car. Highly Recommend a trip to the train history museum. ”
