January 2016very bad experince
This was an very bad experience. Barbara and I were very disappointed in the accommodations arranged for us at the Old Bahama Bay from January 23 to January 30, 2016. As I advised you, when we arrived at the Old Bahama Bay resort, the swimming pool, which is the only swimming pool on the premises and at the resort, was not functional since it was being repaired and we were told that it would not be available for use for a number of weeks. Furthermore, on January 27, there was a rainstorm throughout the island and the resort had no electricity for a period of two days. As a consequence of same, we did not have the use of the television or hot water in our unit and on one day the unit was not even cleaned by housekeeper. Since the resort was unable to advise us when the electrical power would be restored, Barbara and I decided to leave the resort on January 28, 2016 and check in to the Grand Lucayan resort near Freeport, where they had all the accommodations and services available including electricity. I am enclosing herewith a copy of my statement from the Old Bahama Bay which confirms that we checked out of the resort on January 28, 2016. Moreover, when we were at the airport in Freeport returning to Montreal, we met two women whom we met at the resort, who were flying to Charlotte the same day as us, and they advised us that the resort gave them a credit for one night in the light of lack of electricity, television, hot water, swimming pool and so on. In the light of all the forgoing, Barbara and I would like to arrange with you to give us a credit for all the above mentioned services that the resort was unable to supply, and since we left the resort on January 28, 2016. We advised the representative of the resort at the time that we left the resort and paid the bill that we intended to ask for reimbursement and they advised us that I would have to direct my claim to you since we were booked at the resort on the basis of points, the details of which are well known to you. ”
