September 2022A Birder's Paradise
If you're a birder, don't miss out on this amazing gem of a property. Villa Papelillos is surrounded by the namesake tree, also known as the paper tree and its berries are crucial for migratory birds along flyways in the U.S. and Canada. It's like living in a treehouse with all the attendant bird life you can imagine. Just on the property we regularly saw caciques, chachalacas, green parrotlets, orioles, woodpeckers, masked tityras and one day a ferruginous pygmy owl. Walk a near by path through the jungle to see even more species. The other wonderful aspect of this property is the carefully maintained infinity pool. After a hot humid day of hiking, the pool was a blessing. The staff who maintain the home are wonderful. Rene, Yadira and Diega were so attentive and they made our stay feel like home. We'd come back in a heartbeat. ”

April 2017STUNNING VILLAS WITH GREAT VIEWS
We had an amazing one week stay at this wonderful property that included the use of both villas for our family of 5 (children aged 7,11,13). The houses are surrounded by nature and offer panoramic views of the ocean and jungle. We loved swimming in the private infinity pool as well as hanging out in all the outdoor and indoor living spaces including the roof top patios. We also enjoyed the quiet beach located only a 15-minute walk down a gravel road from the Villas. The location is a bit remote but we felt secure and safe the entire time. Exploring the surrounding areas does require a car rental and we had fun day trips to the beach towns of San Pancho & Sayulita. The daily housekeeping staff was great. And, we hired (for an additional cost) the chef to cook some of our meals so we could enjoy the property to its fullest. The property manager Carlos was extremely responsive - answering every email within a few minutes and was helpful. The only issue we had was with the Wi-Fi service which was not very reliable and we were often without a connection or the service was very slow. We would highly recommend Villa Papelillos and would love to return! ”
