Description

Completely surrounded by the Swiss Alps, the Alpine Studio Apartment in Gstaad sits in a rightful place as a five star destination, surrounded by hundreds of well maintained trails that intertwine the mountain peaks and the valley floors.

The studio apartment is featuring a king size bed in a large open living room, which boasts a sunny terrace with large wraparound lawn and breathtaking views, just 2 minutes walk from the famous Promenade, the main street of the city center of Gstaad, and home to a wealth of premium brand names. Part of the four star Hotel Gstaaderhof Hotel, your chalet delights in indulging your senses and ensures you a relaxing escape in any season, whether you are looking for exquisite food, a nice massage, or a superb mountain landscape to explore. During the seasonal opening hours of the hotel in the same building, the use of the hotel's own SPA for a reduced fee as well as a room service for meals is available on request. From the garden to your fork, the Hotel restaurant offers you a true gourmet experience, serving excellent dishes created from local mountain farmers and selected vendors.

All year round, the region offers activities aplenty, such as cycling and walking, while your Chalet is located only 1640 feet (500m) away from two skis lifts skiing, with the iconic ambience of Gstaad just around the corner. Much of the natural beauty surrounding Gstaad can only be experienced on hiking trails, protected from the cities in the valley. Hike a relaxing path to some stunning natural wonders, among remote mountain lakes, or through unspoiled forest landscapes, as Gstaad is part of the best holiday destinations during the summer, which is the ideal period for relaxation, sport activities and walks.

After a 30-minutes drive from your Alpine Studio Apartment, head to the Lauenensee lake and find yourself in a great mountain scenery with two great waterfalls just behind the lake. Grab your clubs and play a round of golf at the 18 hole Gstaad-Saanenland Golf Course, situated at 1400 meters altitude and surrounded by a nature reserve of national acclaim.

Down the valley, explore the medieval town of Gruyère - that gave its name to its delicious cheese - where the pedestrian town welcomes you to a gentle stroll, with its cobblestones and its fountains. Take part in a tour cheese dairy tour at La Maison du Gruyère, which will reveal the secrets of this tasty creation. Set amidst a magnificent landscape, the 13th century Gruyères Castle takes you on a journey through eight centuries of history and legends and the discovery of the towers, ramparts, and gardens are an unforgettable experience.

Then discover the famous town of Montreux, known as ‘the capital of the Vaud Riviera’ thanks to its exceptionally mild climate, where you will enjoy a Mediterranean vegetation, composed of pines, cypresses and palm trees. From the lake to the mountains and vineyards, Montreux Riviera is an authentic little piece of paradise, offering spectacular view of Lac Léman, which has attracted many artists, writers and travellers in search of beauty, tranquillity and inspiration.
