February 2022A unique venue.
A lovely stay at an extraordinary venue. A very secluded unique place requiring a drive out to visit most places. The staff were very welcoming and a source of good information, Rick in particular was very helpful. The gardens are amazing and the staff are happy for you to wander freely. The kitchen is well appointed if a little small, we chose to eat in as we didn't fancy the drive out in the evenings and its best to take any basic provisions that may be required as its a long drive out for tea bags. There are some lovely walks from The Orangery and to local pubs in surrounding villages. The bedrooms are lovely and very warm. The main room was a little cold, but that was a temporary issue and Rick furnished us with heaters very quickly. I understand that the underfloor heating usually makes it cosy. The sauna is definitely worth trying and very enjoyable and relaxing. Just outside the front door. A very relaxing and enjoyable stay in a unique venue.”
