Villa Chocolate at Gran Pacifica
Gran Pacifica Beach and Golf Resort is a beautiful Spanish Colonial community situated along nearly four miles of exquisite coastline. Located roughly one hour from the international airport, it’s the most easily accessible of Nicaragua’s oceanfront resorts and is the closest beach destination to Managua. Gran Pacifica is the type of dreamy getaway where you can play a round of golf with glistening ocean vistas, ride the waves over world-class surf breaks, horseback ride along the shoreline, and enjoy award-winning Nicaraguan cuisine paired with open-air dining.
Nestled on a quiet street in a secure neighborhood overlooking the fairways, Villa Chocolate showcases the best of Spanish architecture with a clay tile roof, white stucco, and a stunning poolside terrace supported by a colonnade of pillars. This superb two-story home has four bedrooms, five bathrooms, a private swimming pool, a spacious balcony boasting ocean views, and a resplendent cactus garden.
Step inside to an open dining room and living room with new furniture. Enjoy astounding natural light as you gather on the couches or dine at the table for eight. A large chef’s kitchen provides everything you need to cook delicious meals.
The upstairs area will give spectacular views of the golf course and the sea, while morning birds provide a natural clock alarm. Each of the bedrooms has a bathroom, and there is an upstairs TV room adjacent to the master bedroom. The private balcony off of the master bedroom is the perfect place to enjoy colorful sunsets in the evening. The sleeping arrangements include one king bed in the master, a queen in two guestrooms, and a final room with two twin beds.
Villa Chocolate features an incredibly tranquil outdoor oasis. When you’re not swaying in the hammock, you’re sunbathing by the private swimming pool. There is a built-in grill area near the pool, perfect for enjoying dinner al fresco on the terrace.
There are several swimming spots near the house, with most beaches only a 5-10 minute drive away. Take morning walks in the sand or go horseback riding on the shoreline. Aside from being a host to a fantastic nine-hole golf course, Gran Pacifica is also a world-renowned destination for surfers from beginner to expert.
Important: There is virtually no public transportation. You can rent a car at the airport or take a taxi to bring you to and from the property. At the guarded gate, you will have to mention that you are a guest at Villa Chocolate. A rental car service is also provided on demand (ask the caretaker for pricing).
Our caretaker Katy, who provides access to the house, can find help for cooking and cleaning for only $15 per day as a regular tip. In addition, we have a gardener that cleans the pool almost every day.
***Please note: We have a policy of charging for the electricity that guests use, as this helps to keep the cost of rent low and only pay for the electricity consumed. The cost of electricity is so high in Gran Pacifica that the policy of the house is that customers pay what they consume. When they get home, Katy shows them the meter and records the reading, and then when she leaves, she does the same. Guests have to pay what they consume at a rate of $0.40 per kWh, which is what the development charges the houses.
