This home was so perfectly located - it was amazing to see how many people came right to the beach in front of the house for wind surfing and great beaching. It was so cool to be staying at a place that so many flock to. The house itself was amazing and the service was also fantastic. We had everything we needed and every need answered. Simply Amazing

Fantastic Stay! We are a family of 6 and came with another family of 6. The layout of the house was perfect for our situation. Each adult couple had a master suite with a view that dreams are made of. The teens had a double queen bed suite -and the younger kids packed into the bunk room and the connecting bedroom. Rita and Niko took such good care of us and cooked us some very delicious meals. Coffee was great! Beach was perfect. Quiet, warm water- we all felt so spoiled! Sarah was a great host! We will remember this trip forever and would love to return someday. ”

Love ocean view from every room in the house

Rita the cook at the house was one of our favorite parts of our trip. She made wonderful dishes. I loved how she made my egg white omelette in the morning. Nico was great on the bbq and bought fish for us from the fish market each morning. We had a few lobster feasts with some of the biggest lobsters I’ve ever seen. Out back door is world famous kite surfing spot. My friend got lessons and learned to kite surf his first day. People in Dominican Republic that we met were all very nice and helpful. Sarah the owner was terrific and easy to reach on WhatsApp. Her aunt, Monica, runs local bodega / c-store and delivered beer and groceries to us for $1 delivery charge. Can’t wait to return to this magical place. ”

Wonderful Family Beach Holiday

We loved everything about El Portillo, Las Terrenas and Saramar House. Its a laid back atmosphere, with a true sense of a family holiday right on a beautiful white sandy beach. The coastline is breathtaking. The location is unbeatable. The house is very confortable, bright and spacious, pictures do not do it justice. The two main bedroom suites face the sea with large windows and a balcony and I cant forget sleeping with the sound of the light waves on the shore and that tropical see breeze everynight. Its also a Kite Surfer's Paradise as wind raises in the afternoon and by this time the beach fills up with many kiters that provide a great show right in front of your eyes. The staff, is very supportive and kind, Rita will prepare your meals and Nico is there to help you with everything including daily groceries, he is also excellent on the barbecue. They even surprised me on my birthday's dinner (grilled lobsters) set up right on the beach! We hired a skipper to do a boatride ( very informal but safe) to explore the coastline up to Ermitano Beach, did plunge dives, there is a Diving School just next door and one of the days went to Samana to see the whales! Uau, an unforgettable experience. On top of all this, Sarah the owner is a wonderful person and host, always available to help you make your stay perfect, helps with all the planning and assists whenever needed. She makes you feel you are part of the family since all surrounding houses also belong to her family and we got to meet a few members. Las terrenas has plenty of restaurants, small shops where we went nearly every day. Thank you Sarah for sharing your beautiful family home with us. I cant wait to come back!”
