Magnolia Woodlands Retreat

This freshly renovated retreat in Magnolia, Texas, is the perfect relaxing getaway. Enjoy the peace and quiet of a 5-acre natural wonderland, just minutes away from world-class shopping, dining, and recreation in The Woodlands.

The cabin sits at the back of a pristine 5-acre property that is all yours to explore and enjoy. The property entrance is tucked away on a country road cul-de-sac with very little traffic. The inviting driveway winds you through the trees, over a bridge, and up a hill to welcome you to the cabin. So quiet. So peaceful. It will feel as if you've been transported to another time and place.

The home features a modern interior with three furnished bedrooms, one flex room (with an air mattress and crib), a fully equipped kitchen, a spacious living room with a pull-out sofa, and two full baths. Additional luxuries include high-end linens, a stocked laundry room, and plenty of outdoor space to enjoy!

The cabin is outfitted with solid, high-end furniture and state-of-the-art Samsung appliances. The linens are of excellent quality: mostly Ralph Lauren, Pottery Barn, and a few other organic cotton brands and other luxury fabrics. The mattress in the master bedroom continues to get high reviews and is sure to melt away any stress you may have brought with you. There are plenty of soft blankets for getting cozy and watching movies. The cabin has 2 TVs, one in the living room and the other in the master bedroom. Each is equipped with Roku, so stream away! The AC/heating unit is new and cools or heats the place in minutes, so comfort is at your fingertips.

The front and back porches are great for bird watching, bug listening, yoga doing, book reading, popsicle eating, or any other activity you would like to participate in! The porches provide an amazing outdoor space to enjoy the gifts of mother nature in their pure form.

On property: basketball hoop, zip line, hammock, volleyball net, long sloped driveway perfect for scooters and plasma car races, horseshoes, fire pit, picnic tables. There is a basket of balls and yard toys to enjoy. Also, plasma cars and scooters are provided. BBQ grill is set up with propane and ready to go.

Other things to do: Local small lake is 1.5 miles away if kiddos want to try their hand at fishing. We are close to many trails, parks, and public pools (summer only). Riva Row Boathouse is 15 minutes away to rent kayaks/canoes/paddleboards for a reasonable hourly rate. Check out my guidebook for more details.

Farm Life: Our property is home to several lovely critters. The two friendly outdoor cats keep the undesirable critters away while providing lots of love and entertainment for little kids and animal enthusiasts. There are 20+ chickens that are housed in a coop sitting on the back corner of the property. You can see them if you would like to venture back through the garden area, but if it's not your thing, that's fine too. The garden area is equipped with self-wicking beds and is usually planted with fall and spring vegetable gardens. Our bees are busy doing their thing and providing us with much fascination and delicious fresh honey. They are on the opposite end of the 5 acres from the home, and you won't even know they are there. However, if you have always wanted to put on a bee suit and peek into a hive, just let me know!

Guests traveling with children: There is a pack-n-play in the bunk room closet, and kid blankets and kid dishes are provided. Due to COVID, toys, books, and high chairs are available upon request and are sterilized prior to your arrival.

Guests have private access to the cabin and are allowed to enjoy all outdoor spaces on the five-acre property. There is parking for four cars on the cement area in-between the barn and the cabin. Additional parking in the mulched area will hold several more cars.

*Other notes: The event barn is available upon request for an additional fee. Larger events are allowed but must be approved and arranged with the owner and are subject to additional event fees.

The barn adds additional hang-out space that is quite lovely. Both garage doors roll up, and it is a beautiful place to sit and enjoy the surroundings. The barn is equipped with surround sound, blue-tooth capabilities for streaming music, a large retractable movie screen and projector, a ping pong table, a comfy L-shaped sofa, and a rustic bar-height table with barstools. It's a comfortable indoor/outdoor space that offers a pavilion of sorts to shield from the sun and weather.
