Manoir Coteaux

Manoir Coteaux is just 5 kilometres from the town of Doue La Fountaine, a commune steeped in history and known as the rose capital of France, within a region reputed to be the number one producer of the flowers in Europe, exporting them since the 18th century. The whole property is surronded by vines set in the heart of the Anjou wine growing area.

Manoir Coteaux consists of a large manoir plus an additional gite that can be enjoyed together for your trip to this remarkable part of France. The property can accommodate 15-18 guests max, 15 in the house and cottage + another 3 guests in the small gite - subject to availability.

Having recently been restored, the manoir still retains its natural charm with exposed beam, fireplace and large open spaces.

In the manor house, there is a beautiful hallway giving access to the living room and a fully equipped kitchen from which you can access the terrace and lawn.

Upstairs there are four bedrooms; 3 doubles and a twin bed. On the first floor we have:
FOURPOSTER Bedroom 1 - double with ensuite WC, bath, and two hand basins.
Bedroom 2 - double with ensuite WC, bath and a hand basin. On the second floor you will find:
Bedroom 3 - two singles with ensuite WC, shower and a hand basin.
Bedroom 4 -a double with ensuite WC, shower and hand basin

The master bathroom also features a mini gym so your daily workout is just steps away.

There is a TV with UK channels IN LOUNGE and Wi-Fi internet although do not rely on it as it can be sporadic (see below).

The adjoining Cottage (Gite) has 3 bedrooms and can accommodate 7 guests. It is completely self contained with its own kitchen and terrace. On the ground floor there is a living room with a fully equipped corner kitchen. You will also find:
Bedroom 5 - two single beds and a separate bathroom with WC, shower and hand basin wet room. SUITABLE FOR MOBILITY IMPAIRED
The family room can act as a 6th bedroom, it has 2 singles and a double bed and can accommodate 3 guests.

The stairs to the first floor give access to:
Bedroom 6 (Family Room) - one triple bedroom with ensuite WC, shower and hand basin.
Bedroom 7- one king bed with ensuite WC, shower, and hand basin

Outside there is a considerable lawned garden with a dining terrace, tables and chairs which is ideal for entertaining as well as a new BBQ area in the upper garden.

There is also a second terrace with a table, chairs and plenty of loungers next to the ECO heated salt water pool (5m x 9m, constant depth: 1.5m) with safety alarm.

For those of you looking to add a little athleticism into your relaxation we have table tennis, badminton, boules and table football.

There is plenty of parking and should you wish to arrive or leave by helicopter, this is now possible too on request.

The GITE is suitable for guests with mobility concerns and children whereas the main house is not suitable for those with mobility concerns or children under the age of 11.

The whole property is Non Smoking and please NO pets!

Our internet is delivered by satellite and provides a UK IP address.

We provide a telephone (main house) for incoming and local outgoing calls (payable locally) as mobile coverage in the property is poor.

As our housekeepers live off site nearby, we ask you to please let us know in advance if you arrival will be late or delayed or outside of the arrival window. 4PM/6PM
