April 2023Fantastic access to the magic
We had a wonderful stay in Dennis' DVC villa at the Wilderness Lodge. The accommodations are good, and the access to the Magic Kingdom is great (a simple boat ride). Buses also arrive regularly to take guests to the other parks, and are easy. Dennis was extremely helpful as well, providing insights on the room and the parks that were invaluable. We would highly recommend for any family seeking to have a great Disney vacation!”

September 2022Celebrated the "Magic," 50 years later!!
As an OG Walt Disney World cast member, I wanted to experience the 50th Anniversary celebration. My husband & I spent a week in a 1-Bedroom Villa at Fort Wilderness lodge and everything about it was spectacular. We have stayed in villas before and once again, it was perfect. This first floor villa was quiet and we loved having coffee and adult beverages on the patio. It was nice not having "daily" housekeeping service, we didn't need it and never felt like we needed to be "ready for service." We brought a week's worth of snacks, food, and adult beverages.... very nice not to have to "find" some place to eat. Daily trash pick-up and new towels were provided which was all we needed. We enjoyed the main pool, there was never more than 10 people sunning and swimming. We used the boat to get to the Magic Kingdom and it was truly a quick trip. The buses elsewhere were easy to use and we never waited too long for service. Wilderness Lodge is a perfect location, no too far removed, yet not in the "midst of activity" as of some other resorts. The 50th Anniversary Celebration was spectacular..... from the decor in the park(s) to the fireworks in the Magic Kingdom, it was truly the result of countless Disney Imagineers. I will note that doing everything from your phone with regard to park reservations, dining reservations, mobile food ordering, can be and was for us, sometimes a challenge. Fortunately, there were plenty of people to help and I think we asked as least 50% of them for assistance. Going in late September, we avoided the majority of the crowds, and all-in-all, we had a great, memorable time. Most Important.... Mr. Schipper, the ThirdHome host is the best!! From the time I made the reservation, and even during our stay, he reached out with travel tips, suggestions, and was available with help if we needed it and could answer any question we had. Thank you, Dennis, your tips made our stay very enjoyable.”
