April 2025Could be better, Huge potential
This resort is a rebranded version of the older Ancora Resort, and the signs of age are visible as you walk through the property. Overall, it was a mixed experience, and we don’t plan to return. Highlights: Excellent Room Service: Our room was always impeccably clean, and drinks were replenished daily — great job by housekeeping. Staff Shout-Out: A big thank you to Zsolt, Lewis and Julian for going above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Excursions: The private boat trip and Scape Park excursion were amazing. (Skip the Fun Park — it doesn’t compare to Scape Park.) Spa: The deep tissue massage was solid, though the hot stone massage wasn’t quite to my wife’s liking. Lowlights: Food Quality & Value: The food was mediocre, and dining options rotated among three on-site restaurants. The stay requires an all-inclusive package, which cost around $500 per day for our family of four (2 kids) — a poor value considering we barely used it. We preferred dining out at nearby spots like Drago Grill, Noah, and Sanctuary, but those aren’t covered in the all-inclusive. Dated Villas: We stayed in a two-bedroom villa that showed serious wear — cracked walls, water damage on the ceilings, and poorly draining showers. The entire space needs a major refresh. Towel Policy: Getting beach towels turned into a bit of a saga. You’re given one towel card per person and must trade it in, then return the towel to the lobby afterward. Not a huge issue, just an odd and mildly amusing system to be aware of. Final Thoughts: We’d rate the experience 3 stars. It was a pleasure meeting some wonderful staff members, but the resort still has a long way to go to live up to its potential. With better management and some much-needed updates, it could truly shine. ”

March 2025Unique spot away from the Punta Cana Bustle
We enjoyed our stay at Cap Cana. Very spacious, well appointed rooms. Excellent service and food---especially for an all inclusive. Very friendly staff and fun entertainment. Beautiful property- but this place is quiet and for more mature couples.”

March 2025Beautiful Resort
First time in the Dominican Republic and Sports Illustrated did not dissappoint! The Land/Sea tour that was offered was a special treat! Zsolt, the marketing director was great along with all of the staff. Everyone was very welcoming, helpful and pleasant throughout our stay. The resort is beautiful and we loved the restaurants and shops situated around the marina. Food was excellent! The shuttle to the beach runs every hour and it's just a short 10 minute drive to get to Juanillo Beach. We would love to go back!”
