June 2024Sicilian Paradise
Villa Palmento is a super stylish house set in the middle of the countryside with incredible views down the valley. The layout for socialising is fantastic with the kitchen, living and dining rooms all opening onto a large dining/living terrace which flows round to the gorgeous swimming pool. We enjoyed many fun and relaxing days and evenings here. The kitchen is very well equipped and stocked and some groceries were left for us as well as the shopping we had requested before arrival. Aldo did this and also surprised us with breakfast pastries the first morning. It was great having him to clean up the kitchen for us every morning too! The main house has 2 lovely bedrooms with a further 3 in the guest house which worked well for us with young adult children who had their own space. The nearby town of Caltagirone is pretty and has everything you need. We even did a ceramic making tour and workshop. Further afield we visited Villa Romana della Casale, Ragusa and Syracuse/Ortigia - all great and worth the trip. We loved our stay, thanks so much Lynda and Gipi and Aldo! ”

May 2024Jeremy and Kathryn
Lynda and Gipi have taken a derelict Sicilian winery and turned it into the most beautiful home. Kathryn and I stayed there for 10 days in May. We loved: The location. The view. The facilities: from beautifully equipped kitchen, bathrooms and living areas inside, to the swimming pool, loggia and grounds outside. Above all, we loved the building itself, the restoration carried out with great imagination and attention to detail. An added bonus: Aldo, who looks after the property and its guests with humour, charm and efficiency. Grazie mille, Lynda e Gipi! ”

January 2024Exclusive retreat in magical and wild Sicily
The journey started with the first e-mail exchange with Linda that made me feel in good hands. Upon arrival Aldo and Maria prepared delicious local dishes for us and we went to bed a little tipsy from wine and Sicilian hospitality. In the morning we where spoilt with local bread and almond pastries. Then we started to feel the magic, the wildness, the exotisme that is particular to Sicily. We visited Taormina, Siracuse/ Ortigia, Ragusa, Modica, Agrigento and of course beautiful Caltagirone. We tasted so many local dishes, Canolli the best we ever had, and Caponata was new to us. In the evenings we reflected the day and relaxed in the property with a glas of local wine. The property was awesome! Congratulations to Linda and Gipi you did such a great job on renovating / decorating this palmento. We were so sad we had to leave this perfect stay. Thanks for sharing your Sicily with us!”
