Surf Synergy Costa Rica

Surf Synergy was everything it promised and more. We had never put foot on a surfboard, but the instructors gave us the confidence to try. The week is geared around instructions but also included land time to explore surfing culture. Delicious, three healthy meals a day, massage, sauna, yoga and mobility sessions were just a few of the extra perks available. We thoroughly enjoyed Costa Rica through the eyes of Surf Synergy! ”

Great trip despite the rain

We had a fantastic week at surf's energy. The staff is top notch. As well as the surf instructors. Many of them compete or are current or prior champions in the sport. The food was excellent and super healthy. We enjoyed using that new sauna and the yoga lessons along with our waterfall hike and massage. The facilities are very nice and we wish we would have had a chance to utilize them more due to the rain. Would definitely go back!”

Magical Retreat

This was one of my favorite Third Home trips. The team at Surf Synergy will get you up and surfing no matter what age you are. I went with my 21-year-old daughter, and we had so much fun; she is an intermediate surfer, and I am a beginner, but they were able to accommodate our differing levels with ease. The food is so fresh and pure - we ate like Queens. The best part of the trip though was the team at Surf Synergy. They are so sweet and will do everything to make your trip special. I wish I was still there!”

This is 60 baby !!

I took off on a solo trip to Jaco Costa Rica this past October as part of my year long 60th birthday celebration. My thought was to soak up the wellness and leave the surfing to other guests. The crew at Surf Synergy had other plans for me ! Miguel welcomed me with a big smile, hugs and snacks (this trio offering would be repeated continually on my trip). By the next morning David had me up and surfing, and kept me riding the waves for the week. My reward was more snacks, delicious food, fantastic yoga classes and two massages. I was doing things I would have never imagined I could, all with the energetic encouragement of the Surf Synergy team. They even got me in an ice bath for 6 1/2 minutes (one minute for every decade !) My reward for that was sipping a fresh coconut watching the sunset, thanking my lucky stars for 3rd home and the adventures it has brought into my life. ”

Spectacular experience!

Wow... what a great place. All we had to do was get there and they take care of the rest. So many activities, amazing/knowledgable/friendly staff & great food. Don't be discouraged by the reviews of the town of Jaco. It felt very safe & it was nice to be in a place that was bustling but still felt untouched by BIG developments..plus the little resort is a mini utopia and you are pretty contained within all the meals & activities on site. The town is a short bike ride away but we didn't find a need to go much, except for a little shopping at the Jaco Walk. If you like to surf & experience a wellness retreat, this is the place. ”

Incredible stay!

Incredible people, service, and adventures! 1 week without any stress over what was happening then next day, where to eat, and how to relax, learning how to surf, enjoying nature and the beauty of Costa Rica. A vacation at Surf Synergy was active while relaxing and healing. Morning yoga, personal training, surf lessons, massages, breathing exercises, ice baths, delicious meals, beautiful sunsets, and wonderful staff really make this retreat one of the best vacation destinations I have ever experienced. Can't wait to return again.”
