Amazing house strong winds

The stay at the house was great! The cleaning staff concierge and everyone made our stay great! We did not get to enjoy the resort as much as we would like as there are very strong winds and it gets cold. If you are looking to play golf and stay at the resort it is the perfect stay. ”

Diamante beach estate

We were fortunate enough to get a beach estate and it was perfect as always. It is by far our favorite place to stay on property (thank you to the owner that deposited it!). To sit out and watch the whales from your pool deck was just breath taking. Plenty of space for our large group and a beautiful courtyard with a fire feature. Golf cart included to get around property. And if we needed a shuttle, it usually only took 5 min or so to pick us up. We also ordered in from the sports bar a couple nights. Food is excellent on property. We love Diamante! ”

The beach estates are impeccable and boast top of the line appliances, surround sound throughout, temperature-controlled pool and whirlpool, multiple fire pits, breaktaking views, etc! Diamante Beach Estate

We were on a girls trip and had the most magnificent time in the beach esstate. The views, the Villa, the pleasant staff, everything was spectacular. Diamante felt very safe in these Covid times. They take extra precautions everywhere. Loved having our own golf cart to zip around the beautiful property! ”

Loved Beach Estate, Resort may be too large and overpriced

Beach estates are great for large groups looking for common space to gather and hang out ( pool, hot tub, fire pit) but still wanting personal space (separate five bedrooms plus movie room). Awesome ocean views of whales jumping and spouting all day. Grand kitchen and grill With dining table for big family meals. US satellite channels on all tv’s makes it not feel like Mexico. Use of private golf cart and access to all of resort pools and amenities. Daily cleaning of estate and kitchen / maid service was excellent. Downsides: resort is still not built out and lot of dirt / construction and unpaved roads. Resort is massive and shuttle transport insufficient to properly and swiftly move people around... costs us $12 per person just to go to HardRock’s Nobu for dinner ( which is essentially on the property). Getting taxi’s are difficult, need to use their overpriced transportation. It also takes 15 minutes just to get from Beach Estate to the front gate!! The resort is remote from downtown Cabo and another 15 minutes away. The Ocean club tower is about to take away 45 degrees of ocean view and sunsets. Concierge service was sub-par and didn’t respond quickly nor provide pre arrival grocery service. Golf course looked great but was $310 per round plus caddie fees!! We had fun on 12 hole par 3 short course for $25. The clientele was mainly longer term staying wealthy couples this week; very few families ( not a school break week). Overall I liked the resort, didn’t like the Resort pricing (16%tax plus 18% gratuity added to all bills), and loved the Beach Estate. Suggest a rental car if you plan to be mobile while on vacation.”

Golf Resort

Overall: The beach house is beautiful and just as advertised with a private pool and jacuzzi. Beautiful view of the Pacific. Daily house service and personal concierge. That said, make no mistake: this is a GOLF property. Built exclusively for golfers. If you do not play golf, I would not recommend you stay here; instead, stay on the Sea of Cortez side of Cabo near stores, the marina, shopping, and free from heavy WINDS of the Pacific. We played golf on the Sea of Cortez and it was a much better experience. Golf: $360 per round. Find a member to play alongside for $160 per round. We found several members looking for others to play with. The Dunes course (#36 in world) is immaculate but very WINDY after 12pm (3 to 4 clubs difference). Almost unplayable on very windy days (I am a 7 handicap. The resort says the wind makes it "fun" but that is only a sales pitch, trust me. 40mph sustained winds on the back nine is not fun). The members take all the good tee times before 11am and book 6 months in advance. Another reason to find a member. El Cardonal course is less windy since it is not on the ocean. Beach: You will rarely spend time on the beach, and never sunbathe on the beach. The sand is unstable making it hard to walk. The Pacific winds blow the sand. Rough seas. No swimming. You will sunbathe at the beach house pool or Ocean Club Resort (OCR) next door where there is poolside drink service. Car: Must have a car unless you are not planning to leave property. Nice kitchen and grill so you'll want to cook. You'll need a car to do a Costco/Walmart run. On-site Restaurants: Two options to choose from, but they add a 16% tax and 18% gratuity to every meal. That's 34% added to the cost of the food which is already pricey for Mexico since you are at a private club. Overall Score: 4-star for golfers if you can bear the wind or play in the morning (high fees, immaculate courses). 3-star for non-golfers and those having to bear the wind as we did. April/May tends to be the windy season, both from what I experienced and heard from others at Diamante. Plus side = great house and service, pool/jacuzzi, beach views. ”

Best beach house in Mexico

We stayed at this residence in Oct of last year. It is easily the nicest place in Cabo that we have visited. Several weeks before our arrival, we were contacted by our concierge who took care or everything throughout our stay. The on property restaurants were so good that we rarely left the property. We also took advantage of golf at Diamanté Dunes, which is one of the best golf courses I’ve played. ”

I love this house!!

This house is so incredibly beautiful!!! The only problem is that we were on a golf trip and they do not offer member discounts on the golf even though you are treated as a member in every other way. Because the golf is $360 per round with a caddy (which you must take if you are not with a member), It makes for a very expensive trip ($720 per day per couple, just for the golf) You are also very far out from Cabo. The facilities at Diamante are top of the line though, so if you can afford to stay there the whole time, then it is wonderful!! We signed up for the timeshare presentation to reduce our golf fees, but my friends were not happy when they had us there for hours and hours and put on the full pressure sales pitch. They just would not let us leave.”

We had 9 adults staying and all had a blast. Beautiful furnishings, lots of room, nice view and outdoor amenities. Golf cart to main resort was convenient. Would return anytime. ”

Amazing Cabo Property

The home well appointed, sound system was excellent and ocean views were spectacular. Staff at resort were top notch. The resort is not in town so if you want a relaxing beach vacation, this is the place.”

5 Befroom Beach Estate

The only reason I'm rating this a 4 star rather than a 5 is due to the weather we experienced. We had never been to Cabo in May, and never will again. To our luck, we experienced somewhat of a sand storm every day of our stay. We did not get to take full advantage of the exterior of the home due to the wind and sand. The wind was even an issue at night since it would slam against the windows and make all kinds of disturbances. The construction around the property also would wake us. Since the home is right by the beach, we got really cold weather while being out. The resort itself is amazing. I can't say enough about the staff. They went over the top to keep our home clean outside and inside. I totally recommend this home, however, further into summer. But do be prepared for the construction nuisance. ”
