The Cliff House

The location is unbeatable, with the property perched on a cliff overlooking the stunning Rossnowlagh beach and panoramic views across Donegal bay at the rugged Donegal coastline, including some of the highest sea cliffs in Europe.

The beach is a seven-minute walk away, just a three-minute walk to the nearest restaurants/bars serving mouthwatering local seafood. The world-renowned National Geographic Traveller voted County Donegal ‘Coolest Place on the Planet for 2017’.

The Cliff House is located in the laidback seaside village of Rossnowlagh, nestled on the shores of the wondrous Donegal Bay. The town is famed for its golden stretch of beach, owing to its unique geographical situation. It is the perfect location for an introduction to surfing & many other water sports activities.

The central part of this impressive heritage house dates from the late nineteenth century, and it retains much of its original character and form, including the natural slate roof and timber sash windows. Recent modern additions have been carefully blended in and, along with a meticulous restoration of the original building, have resulted in a top-class property finished to a very high spec.

There are six bedrooms to sleep up to fourteen people over three floors. Three bedrooms are ensuite, with a shower room, a large wet room and an outside shower. The original sitting room in the house has a traditional canted bay window, an open fireplace, and wood flooring and enjoys beautiful sea views. In a modern extension, a superb open-plan space enjoys panoramic coastal views. It features a stylish modern kitchen with an island unit, a large bright dining area and two seating areas. There are two small balconies on either side – from one, you can observe the ocean, surfing and beach activity, and from the other, you can keep an eye on the tennis or football match.

There are various areas on the seaward side of the house where guests can relax and enjoy the beautiful coastal views. These include several paved patio areas and a large area of artificial grass. There is ample parking, extensive lawns and an all-weather sports court on the land side.
