November 2024Beautiful Casa Cascade
I must say upfront that the hosts were the BEST we have worked with on ThirdHome. They offered tips from restaurants to all kinds of activities. We were there visiting some family that had recently moved to Costa Rica. This was the perfect home to relax with our other family members. Even though it rained quite a bit while we were there, it didn't keep us from having a wonderful time at the home or doing other things. Thank you so much Jim and Cary for opening your home to the ThirdHome family. Hope to return at another time.”

January 2024Didn't want to leave!
This is the most fabulous location on the mountain overlooking the jungle but able to see the ocean in the distance. The house is incredible, the views are amazing in the morning and evening. Morning was spent doing yoga on the porch, reading and having coffee with the huge sliding doors wide open. We had a wonderful breeze throughout the house all week and no bugs. Even at night while we played games at the large table in the living area. The entire living area is open and the kitchen was well appointed with all cooking utensils needed for cooking. Cary and her husband, Jim were so helpful prior to our stay. We had not been to Costa Rica before so they walked us through the entire process from the time we arrived until we left. They were always available for excursion questions and gave us wonderful directions and recommendations to so many spots. We enjoyed the beaches, hiking waterfalls, playing pickleball in Ojochal and dining at the many wonderful restaurants. They even gave us tips on places to catch the sunset with cocktails and appetizers. Ojochal is not in a tourist area, which we loved. It is a ways from the airport but totally worth it. In fact, we loved the area so much that we extended another week. Unfortunately, we couldn't stay at Casa Casacada but we were able to experience another beautiful part of CR. We will be back. There are so many more things we wanted to do that we just didn't have time. Thanks Cary and Jim for the hospitality. Your home is gorgeous and thanks so much for sharing it with us. ”
