Yuki's Chalet

This amazing countryside chalet is located near Windwhistle; Windwhistle is a small farming settlement in the Selwyn District of New Zealand. It is located on State Highway 77 near the Rakaia Gorge. Windwhistle is 50 miles drive west of Christchurch and 30 miles north of Methven.

Grand dimensions, contemporary finesse and classical form coexist at this beautiful chalet that’s settled against picturesque scenery, quintessentially New Zealand. Positioned a scenic 50-minute drive from Christchurch International Airport, this secluded setting is also 30 minutes from Methven and 45 minutes from Mt Hutt Ski Field to offer no shortage of leisure-loaded opportunities.

​The accommodation options are exceptional, comprising seven bedrooms which sleep 14. On the ground floor is the luxurious bathhouse where you can unwind in the chromotherapy infinity bath with music and lighting to create the ultimate zen experience. This level of relaxation will be welcomed after a day spent golfing, skiing, fishing, walking, wining or dining at Fable Terrace Down’s award-winning facilities.

Downstairs is the deluxe main bedroom with direct deck and grounds access and a single bedroom plus rollaway bed, serviced by the bathhouse, which has two showers, two hand basins, a toilet, and a separate guest toilet.

The remaining four bedrooms are upstairs. These include a Californian king-size retreat, two queen beds, a single bedroom, and a trundler bed. A portable cot for infants is also available. Two of the upper-level bedrooms enjoy attached balconies. There is a shower room with vanity and toilet, and a separate toilet upstairs.

Lodge-style luxe is exhibited within the open-plan living and dining area, warmed by a striking double-sided stone fireplace reflecting the home’s natural environment. The views are spectacular, and come winter; the snow-capped peaks provide an awe-inspiring outlook from almost every room.
