Private romantic and tranquil farm stay only 44 km/27 miles drive from central Auckland. Rose Cottage is a newly built stand-alone cottage on a Karaka farm. Snuggle into your private garden walled off by nature or explore the central garden, farm or native bush.

Karaka is a small rural area, ideal for enjoying the country or farming lifestyle, outside the Auckland urban sprawl. There are farm animals, friendly dogs and electric fences; please leave all gates as you find them if you choose to explore beyond the main garden. The miniature ponies, Dotty and Bella, love visitors. Carrots supplied on request!

Architecturally designed one-bedroom cottage on a private farm in Karaka within a private garden space just for you to make yourselves at home. Adjacent to the main dwelling and yet private and peaceful. Perfect for couples, friends or families wanting peace and a sampling of a rural lifestyle.

The bedroom has a comfortable, super king bed overlooking the orchard. A hidden queen sized Murphy bed offers additional bedding allowing 4 people to stay. The main living area has bespoke furniture with French doors that open up to give you a seamless garden experience. The outdoor bath is perfect for two, and guest reviews note the private, romantic star gazing is a highlight of the stay.

The well-equipped kitchenette, with a full-sized fridge/freezer, allows cooking on an induction hob or microwave. Please note, no oven. Complimentary continental breakfast awaits you for your first breakfast and always contains fresh homemade artisan sourdough bread. A Nespresso machine and a French press with freshly ground locally roasted coffee are supplied.

The Webber BBQ allows el fresco cooking on the patio under the covered verandah, or we can arrange a delicious grazing platter on request with some notice. As a new, purpose-built cottage, the space makes you feel safe and warm with the ducted cooling/heating system complimenting opening doors/windows.

The interior design is fresh and bespoke; most decor is one-off. With two smart TVs, you are encouraged to BYOL-Bring your own login.
