Introducing the freshly reimagined L'Ours Haus, formerly known as The Beardise, now under new ownership, with a fresh, inviting look. Nestled in the picturesque surroundings of Grand Lake, Colorado, L'Ours Haus welcomes you with a blend of French and German charm, translating to "The Bear House." The property retains its original theme but incorporates a unique twist, creating a delightful haven for your stay. Views of the Rockies and Grand County lakes are still as spectacular from every angle of our property.

As you step up into L'Ours Haus, you'll be greeted by a host of brand-new features. The kitchen boasting shiny new cookware, is well-stocked with colorful dishware sets, various gadgets and small appliances. The bedrooms are adorned with fresh linens and comfortable, rejuvenating mattresses. Each bedroom features a queen-size bed, complemented by a mix of antique and new dressers. The blackout drapes ensure a restful night's sleep, undisturbed by the beautiful moonlight. Wildlife-themed décor throughout the house adds a touch of rustic charm. For your convenience, there is a washer and dryer in the main bathroom. The property also features a new living room area rug that compliments the massive piece of art on the wall between the main bathroom and kitchen. There is a gas fireplace enhancing the cozy ambiance. Every corner of the property has been thoughtfully revitalized with comfy furniture, new lamps, and artwork, while freshly painted rooms exude a sense of vibrancy. New lighting, both inside and outside the property, ensures a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout your stay.

Your warm welcome to L'Ours Haus begins at the Greeting Table at the top of the stairs, where you'll find a thoughtful "Welcome" Basket brimming with treats for you and your furry companions. In the Welcome Book, you'll discover the ingredients the healthy dog treats, along with a number of brochures and local information to help you make the most of your time in beautiful Grand County. Supporting local vendors is gratefully encouraged, and before departing, L’Ours Haus be sure to leave your mark in the Guestbook.

For your inside entertainment you'll discover a range of options to make your stay truly enjoyable. A flatscreen TV equipped with Roku connection and Wi-Fi access (password available on the greeting table) allow you to access your preferred entertainment accounts. On chilly evenings, the cozy gas fireplace in the living room provides the perfect setting to unwind after a day of outdoor adventures. A selection of board games, books, and DVDs are provided for your enjoyment, catering to all tastes.

The door from the Livingroom invites you to step outside onto the deck to bask in the Sunlight, Moonlight or watch the movements of the weather come in over the Rockies and Lake Granby. The more than 250 degree views are spectacular! Take your favorite beverage with you to just sit and relax, listen to the wildlife, meditate, or read. If you like to grill, there is a gas grill on the deck.

Grand County offers an endless list of outdoor activities. Now that Winter approaches, enjoy some of best ski areas within 25 mins of L’Ours Haus. Basically at the bottom of our hill, experience the thrill and the chill of SNOWmobiling in the recently voted SNOW mobile Capital of Colorado, Arapaho Nat’l Forest! Bring your own or rent a SNOWmobile and be the first each morning to blast thru the fresh powderd trails. Guided SNOWshoe hikes and ice fishing are here too!
