French Quarter ambience

This sweet apartment on the edge of the French Quarter was away from the noise of Bourbon Street and close enough to walk everywhere. We had such a scrumptious time in so many restaurants thanks to owner Shelly's regular texts about what place to try next. We appreciated being hosted by a foodie. The furnishings were unique with really beautiful artwork throughout. We enjoyed the private courtyard several afternoons while waiting for the French Quarter Jazz Fest bands to start up again. There is a pool upstairs but we didn't get to use that. Next time!”

We had a great stay !!! The apartment is well stocked with everything you need and has a nice feel with high ceilings and old charm. The court yard gives you your own private space as well a pool around the rear of the building I’m glad to say the air con works as we had temperatures over a100 degrees!!! The location couldn’t be more ideal for the French quarter as your right in the middle of it !! Shelly was a great host who really helped with her suggestions We would love to go back as soon as we have lost the extra pounds we put on during our stay !!!”

Super host and great location

We love New Orleans, and this is our third trip there. We had never stayed very close to the French Quarter, but Shelly's flat is only one street away from the famous Vieux Carre. We walked to or through it everyday, the location so convenient to anything one wants to do, whether world class dining, fantastic jazz clubs, super shopping, or croissants and cafe au lait for breakfast. Before arriving, Shelly emailed us three pages of places to go, to see, to do, to eat, to drink, to enjoy, even telling us "not to be missed" favorites of hers. So very helpful! And she was very attentive whenever we had a question while we were there. The the only issue we had was that building is shared by several other flats, and we could hear people above us and beside us quite clearly. There is a king bed on a balcony that overlooks the kitchen and living room which would accommodate two other people. But one bathroom, which is downstairs. All in all, this is a convenient landing spot at the end of the day after visiting the amazing opportunities in New Orleans.”

Fabulous stay in the heart of the French Quarter

Shelly’s place in New Orleans was brilliant. We were there a week and it was a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of the French Quarter. The location couldn’t have been better - right on Bourbon Street. The place was immaculate when we arrived, it was really nicely furnished and had a really cozy garden furnished with outside seating. Any questions or queries we had were quickly answered by Shelly’s and she was always on hand to help give us recommendations of where to go, as well as some useful advice about the French quarter itself. I would wholeheartedly recommend Shelly’s place - it has everything you could want for a stay in French Quarter. ”

Charming!!!!!

We had the best time at this charming apt in the french quarter. As I told Shelly, it reminded me of my modeling days in Europe. I loved the decor and the location was prime! Shelly was so wonderful to give a long list of great restaurants and attractions and she was right on about everything, as we ate and drank our way through NOLA....lol! The weather was thankfully mild which was such a blessing. We will definitely be back in the near future... ”

Great location for French Quarter Get-Away

Vieux Carre was a lovely French Quarter apartment in an old historic building with a lot of character and charm. It was perfect for the two of us. Shelly provided us with outstanding information about where to go and places to eat. She especially helped us by encouraging us not to rent a car and deal with parking. She made us feel very welcome and helped us have a wonderful stay. ”

Good French Quarter location

Located at the corner of Bourbon and Esplanade streets on the outer edge of the French Quarter, the apartment was very quiet, small, nicely appointed and fine for my wife and I. The unit has air conditioning and ceiling fans. The unit does not have a microwave or guest WiFi connection. A free WiFi coffee shop was 5 blocks away. The living room/kitchen is small. The only TV is in the master bedroom. Thin the pool area and is freee small open mezzanine with a double bed, is accessible via a tight circular stairs. Parking space is at a premium everywhere in the French Quarter. Taxis and the streetcar gave us access to everyplace we wanted to go. Common/free laundry area is outside the unit, inside the pool area. ”

Joy at Vieux Carre

This flat was the perfect mixture of history and old world charm and modern convenience. Located in a lovely old neighborhood, we were only steps away from all that New Orleans has to offer; the restaurants,the music,the historical buildings and shops and most of all the enchanting people. We loved the walled courtyard and it's lush landscaping. Our hosts could not have been more helpful and informative. I hope to return , ”

Big easy, big time!!!

We had a wonderful stay in New Orleans at this beautiful location. The apartment was wonderful, just what you would expect in the french quarter, very french, nice and with the best location right on Bourbon St. The private garden is lovely to relax and have al fresco dinner. The owner was most helpful in our vacation being so perfect. They were always ready and able to provide all the information necessary and pertinent to make things easy for us. Excellent recommendations on restaurants and bars was provided all the time. If you want to spend time listening to jazz and having the best food you can imagine, this is the city and the apartment to go. If you are traveling with family the place is suitable for four persons, better if the other two are children. There is only one full bath to be shared so if you plan to travel with friends make sure they are very close. If anyone knows of a good diet please send it to me. Have to loose some pounds (several) after the trip. Enjoy the south and thanks to the owners. Will definitely love to go back.”

Stylish, funky and sooo well located!
