Sunset Summit on Lake Lanier

This five-bedroom, four and a half bathroom house is situated on 4100 square feet on a 4.5-acre plot. The gorgeous home is perfect for enjoying Lake Lanier and the surrounding attractions any time of the year! Sunset Summit is also a high performance home with a 12 KwH solar array, many other energy efficient items, and back-up batteries which allow the property to generate and store more than half of its annual energy needs.

This home’s furnishings and floor plan are perfect for a small group or multi-family groups. The property was custom built and every detail, from the interior to the massive retaining walls and landscaping, was meticulously executed. Large windows surround the main living room, allowing natural light to flood the space and providing you with sensational views. When you’re not enjoying these scenic vistas, the house features plenty of plush seating surrounding a 60-inch flat screen television in the living room, and another television in the game room, perfect for watching sports and movies.

While offering a rustic sensibility seen in the smooth hardwood floors and charming décor, the home has been upgraded with contemporary finishes and amenities, seen especially in the gourmet kitchen, featuring two dishwashers for your convenience. The ceilings in the kitchen are vaulted, adding to the spacious nature of the room, and the countertops are pristine and polished, perfect for preparing delicious meals. In the kitchen, you’ll find a cozy breakfast nook resting next to a large window, perfect for a morning cup of coffee while gazing at the glorious scenery.

Of the five beautiful bedrooms at Sunset Summit, there are two master suites. The upstairs master has gorgeous views of the lake from the bedroom and bathroom, and a large balcony to relax on while you sip on your morning coffee or unwind at the end of the day. The master on the main floor has direct access to the pool deck and offers scenic views of the pool and lake. Both masters offer king-sized beds.

In total, the five bedrooms sleep 12-13 people, plus a sectional couch with a pull-out queen bed in the living room that can sleep one to two more people. There are a total of seven twin-sized beds, and the availability to convert four of the twin beds into two additional king beds. If your group would rather have more king beds for couples, you can configure the rooms to best suit your needs.

This home has amazing open water lake views, unobstructed from most rooms in the house as well as the pool deck. Please note that the pool will be closed and covered from October 16th – March 16th each year, but the spa is available year round. There is also a double-slip dock with a party deck where you can use your own boat or rent one from Gainesville Marina. There is also a four-seat pedal boat available for guests. The northeastern part of the lake is calm and perfect for pedal boating, fishing, water skiing, or just playing in the water.

Don Carter State Park is directly across the water from the home and offers 1300 acres with great amenities such as horseback riding trails, hiking trails, a beach, and camping sites. Last but not least, the home is conveniently located near multiple activities and venues, including Chateau Elan, Road Atlanta, Olympic Rowing Venue, Walters Barn Wedding Venue, UGA, Gainesville, Cumming, and the Northeast Georgia Mountains.
