Description

East Hampton Jewel

This gorgeous and quintessential large Hamptons home has everything you could want and more for the perfect Hamptons getaway! At more than 5,000 square feet, with a private pool and exquisitely furnished, this beautiful property truly makes for an idyllic retreat to one of America's most iconic beach destinations.

Enjoy your trip in this bright and airy six bedroom, five and a half bath retreat, just a 10 minute walk to the center of the wonderful village of East Hampton. This lovely home offers an en suite bedroom on the main level and an open concept layout, creating a seamless flow between the formal living room, cozy living room with wood burning fireplace, the Chef's grade kitchen and large dining area.

A great centerpiece of this unique property is the retractable wall of doors in the dining area, that opens to an outdoor kitchen and entertaining area with pizza oven, pergola and fire table. Covered seating, patios and lush landscaping surround the heated gunite pool with a retractable child safety cover, making this a great home for young ones. Also, enjoy the putting green with bunker and chipping area and get your practice in for your next round at one of the area's many renowned golf courses.

The second floor boasts a second generous master suite with its own private deck. There are also three additional bedrooms on this level, providing a great setup for families with younger kids who need to be close. One of the queen bedrooms also has en suite bathroom. The other two dual queen bedrooms share a bathroom. There is a junior master on the first floor with king bed. The lower level has great amenities with a gym, wine cellar, theater room and additional king bedroom with en-suite bath.

For first timers to East Hampton, you'll find the scenery of East Hampton akin to something out of a coffee table photo book. Along Main Street, working windmills from the 18th century stand tall, towering elm trees shade passersby and the Town Pond with its swans and a 300-year-old cemetery add to the elegance and magic of this wonderful village. There are incredible historic colonial homes -- many of which are registered landmarks -- the first prep school in the U.S., Guild Hall (one of the premier art institutions on Long Island), and a historic and classic pint-sized, 1-room schoolhouse.

At the end of Main Street past sprawling yards and fences surrounding huge homes is Main Beach, where perfect white sandy beaches await. The beach stretches of East Hampton are widely regarded as some of the best in the country. If you don't dig the surf, roam through thousands of acres of white pines in Northwest Woods, with great hiking paths. In the village, be sure to check out the amazing arts and crafts galleries, wonderful shopping opportunities for clothes and much more, great coffee shops and delightful eateries.

Don't limit yourself to East Hampton though -- the Hamptons is full of other wonderful villages and hamlets, each known for great activities, shopping and dining, wonderful beaches and northeastern coastal nostalgia. The list is too long to name them all here, but worthy day trips and stops to places like Southampton, Bridgehampton, Montauk, Amagansett and Sag Harbor won't disappoint and are true favorites among members.
