December 2024A wonderful houseboat at the foot of the Eiffel Tower
We spent the week of New Year's Eve at this very spacious, comfortable, luxury houseboat at the foot of the Eiffel Tower. I am more than six feet tall and we had not done a houseboat stay before because many of them have low ceilings -- but no such problem here in this beautiful, big houseboat. We were extremely comfortable (particularly in the big primary bedroom, with attached bathroom) and always felt very safe. On New Year's Eve, we watched the Eiffel Tower sparkle on one side of the Seine while fireworks went off on the other. Magical! We enjoyed the nearby Christmas market, museums, and of course, restaurants. On New Year's Day we attended mass in Notre Dame -- very special. The owners were extremely helpful and available, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and we hope to return again in the future. ”
