With a rich historical backdrop, Mountrothe House was once home to notable figures, including George Abraham Rothe, the High Sheriff of County Kilkenny in 1804 and later the Mayor of Kilkenny City. The property served as a ‘Safe House’ during the Irish War of Independence, hosting Eamon de Valera during a pivotal period in Ireland's history.

This luxurious self-catering accommodation is perfect for families and friends looking to celebrate special occasions or simply unwind in a serene environment. The spacious interior, adorned with period details, can comfortably sleep up to 14 guests across seven unique en-suite bedrooms, three of which are located in the basement and feature stunning vaulted ceilings.
