The location offers easy access to national forests in the area. In Transylvania County alone, you’ll find 200 spectacular waterfalls, hundreds of thousands of acres of public lands (including Pisgah, DuPont, Gorges, and Headwaters) and numerous lakes where boat rentals are available. In the winter months, the nearby ski resorts of Sapphire Valley (30 min) and Hatley Pointe (90 min) offer skiing, snowboarding, snow tubing and après-ski amenities. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park and the Blue Ridge Parkway are each a scenic 90-minute drive away.
