Perfect choice for visiting the Cotswolds

We rented a car at Heathrow and had a very scenic drive to the village of Great Wolford.  As we drove into the tiny village we knew it was going to be a treat and it was.  The home is picture perfect and the furnishings are not just very attractive but extremely comfortable as well.  The bed in the main bedroom was heavenly and if you keep the windows open you can listen to the sounds of sheep bleating in the evenings and doves crowing in the mornings.  Really exquisite. There is a lovely old church a couple of steps away from the house and it adds to the attractiveness of this lovely home. The kitchen leading out to the perfectly manicured back garden was one of our favourite spots. All communication with regards to how things work in the house was made clear by the owner and this  just contributed to a comfortable and unfussed stay.  We were 3 people staying in the home in 2 of the 4 bedrooms.  I am not sure we would ever exchange it for 4 adult couples ( although there are 4 rooms with ensuite bathrooms ).  The room right at the top of the house would probably be more suitable for kids.  The home is perfectly based to explore the dozens of cute Cotswolds villages in close proximity. This house is picture perfect, in a picture perfect village and in a picture perfect area.  And we had picture perfect weather!!! We were wowed.  Thank you for sharing this very special place with us.  We had to tear ourselves away. ”

Lovely Home

Our second stay at Teachers House was just as wonderful as the first. If you are looking for peace and serenity away from the busy city, then this home is for you. While it is about an hour and twenty minutes from London, it's an easy train ride into Paddington Station. You can rent a car to get you around the lovely country side and enjoy all the pretty villages that the Cotswolds has to offer. (remember left side driving!) The home is clean, comfortable and quiet. Many evenings we would sit in the garden and hear the sound of sheep nearby. The house manager, Rachael, couldn't be more helpful and kind. There's a pub within walking distance and the grocery stores are about 3km away. Some of the photos here are older, but the property looks even better now and in person. Cell coverage for texting is not great (for some reason better in the master bedroom) but the WiFi is fine for those who wish to keep in touch back home. We had perfect weather this time and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. You will not be disappointed with this home that is steeped in history.”

The Teachers House

We thoroughly enjoyed this property in the Cotswolds. It has a country charm and elegance that is very inviting. It is wonderfully decorated. It was a shame that the weather did not cooperate, as it rained most of the week. It might have been the reason why our internet and cell reception was spotty. Mary was very generous in giving us a welcome basket, good instructions for the home and everything was clean. We would love to return to this property!”
