It seems impossible to imagine not being utterly relaxed within minutes of arriving at the new and luxurious Quinta Amorosa.
Just a short drive from Faro airport, it feels a world away from the hustle and bustle of normal life and easy to fall into a pattern of soaking up the sun from the comfort of one of the elegant poolside loungers whilst gazing at the views over olive groves and mountains beyond, and giggling with little ones splashing in the warm waters of the heated private pool... and relax!
The glorious views, inviting pool and elegant but homely interior make Quinta Amorosa a perfect pad for up to eight family and friends to utterly unwind in the sunny Algarve.
The hill top setting means guests can enjoy panoramic views from sunrise to sunset, with terracotta tiled terraces, hardwood outdoor furniture and poolside loungers for doing just that.
The Algarve’s famous white sand beaches, buzzy resorts and golf courses are all within 30 minutes drive but with babies and toddlers it’s temptingly easy to simply chill out in the exclusive seclusion of Quinta Amorosa. It’s particularly easy because the owners have made a special effort to make the villa child friendly, not just including two cots with linens and two high chairs but also children’s tables and chairs both indoors and outdoors and a basement room throughout with toddler toys, books and games, which is an ideal place to seek shade from the midday sun. The fact that the 8m x 4m pool can also be heated means even newborns can enjoy it from early spring to late Autumn.
To make the most of the views, all the rooms have French windows so the villa is light and airy throughout, with air con and heating available. There are also French doors to the outdoor dining terrace from the kitchen/dining room and living room, where families can barbecue spicy piri piri chicken and plump Portuguese sardines.
The kitchen is spacious and sleek, featuring stainless steel appliances, dishwasher and a contemporary dining table for 8, plus a separate utility room is always handy, including a washing machine, clothes dryers and iron.
Leading from the kitchen/diner, the large, comfy living room has two big sofas, a TV, DVD player and children also have a space of their own in a basement playroom with toys. One of the villa’s four bedrooms is on the ground floor, so a sleeping baby can always be in earshot and all the bedrooms are simple and sophisticated from the tasteful decor to the luxury linen, fluffy towels and complimentary toiletries.
