March 2023Great stay!
This luxurious suite is well worth a visit. The resort is also top notch but did have some new resort areas under construction when we visited... not an issue for us but might be to you. Both 18 hole golf courses are outstanding.”

June 2024Nice resort
We had an enjoyable family vacation in our Lagoon Tower suite. The lagoon was very nice. We spent about 3 days hanging out there and enjoyed the paddleboards and activities. We wanted to golf but the rates are over $300 per round and that does not include a caddy. The resort is so big and we would have liked to explore a little more. It would be great if they had bicycles to cruise around on. They do have vans that take you from the various buildings, clubhouses, etc. so that was nice. I was a little disappointed in the onsite marketplace. It is quite small and doesn't have a good variety of snacks or souvenirs. You need to take a taxi or car to town and go to La Comer or one of the big supermarkets to get supplies for your stay.”

March 2024Beautiful Grounds, Lots to Do
Overall our stay was lovely. A few things prevented us from giving a 5 star review. This was our first trip to Diamante and upon arrival we were just given room keys and sent to our room. No staff member ever offered maps, a list of activities, or general information about the resort. It would have been nice to have this information as we had no idea what amenities were available to us, how to use the shuttles, options for dining, etc. The other thing that prevented us from giving a 5 star review was the issue we had with the Internet the first few days (very sporadic) and small maintenance issues that we called about that were never addressed. Ie. GFI breaker in kitchen not resetting so no power to outlets. This caused us to do silly things like plug the toaster into the floor outlet in the living room so we could toast things. Small and not a huge deal, but not what I would expect from a resort of this caliber. Also be aware that everything here is Ala carte. Gym fee was $20 per day and drinks and food are expensive. We knew this going in, but since the location is remote it is not easy to get supplies if you run out. ie. bottled water.... On the flip side the grounds are very pretty and well maintained. The lagoon is beautiful to look at in the morning and the chairs in the beach area are very comfortable. ”

Great place to stay active golf, pickleball, fishing or just hang at the pool and unplug. The food is the best in town hands down! The service and the friendly smile is around every corner to greet you. The accommodations were very nice where we stayed 4 bedroom suite at the lagoon. ”

March 20244 BD Tower at Diamante
The unit was very spacious and quiet. Overall we were very pleased. The furniture was starting to show some wear and tear but otherwise no complaints at all. Be advised there is not an oven in these units, only a microwave convection unit. It did have an ice maker which was a plus. ”

Fantastic. Great kitchen and living area. Patio was a little small, only room for a couple of chairs.”

October 2023Not as expected
The tower rooms need some updating. There was plenty of space, the unit was clean but one of the rooms had no hot water, and the primary bedroom sink didn't drain and the shower was difficult to turn off. There is a lot of paint peeling around the windows from moisture. There is no art on the walls which makes it very cavernous so I probably wouldn't stay in one again unless I needed the space.”

April 2022Beautiful resort
This place is a golfers heaven with fantastic golf courses. The room was airy and great view of the lagoon. Kitchen was equipped with all cooking equipment. Some bedrooms are separated from the living room down a different hallway which was fantastic to avoid the our noisy little ones that woke up early but we didn’t have to hear them. We rented a car but you do need to cab it or drive to everywhere. Nothing is whitin walking distance. We like the freedom of our own car but cabs are not too expensive and easily available. We did try the restaurants on site and food was great and lagoon side attendant were very helpful and fun. ”

September 2023Great Service
We had a great time during our stay. The service from the entire staff was fantastic. The room was very large and comfortable. Had all the amenities of home. We did have a few plumbing issues which were fixed quickly. The lagoon pool is huge. Food was excellent at all restaurants. ”

May 2023Happy Retirement to us and making new memories
Our party of 8 enjoyed our stay at Diamante in a 4 bedroom. We had ample space and privacy. The only negative was the deck only accommodated 3 people but as we have seen the newer developments have larger patios to enjoy. We were impressed with their concept and 2 couples in our group made a purchase to suit their needs. I myself am a Vidanta owner since 2005 so I was always comparing my Vidanta ownership to Diamante. Easy check in process and quick with Diamante that Vidanta needs to learn. Sales presentation with Diamante with little or no pressure. I do wish I would have met the Diamante family back in 2005! We will be returning. Future plans and building going on do not interfere or disturb your stay. In future a grocery store on site is in the plans. Food is pricey so Diamante needs to keep in mind when opening grocery store the prices need to be competitive with the local family stores to keep people on site to purchase groceries. Kitchens are well stocked to make cooking easy. We will enjoy extending our Winter Escape from WI in the near future. ”

April 2023Beautiful resort! Amazing staff!
One of the true beautiful and relaxing places in Cabo! It may be 6 miles from town but you really never have to leave! We look forward to another return stay! Had 7 adults and 4 kids in the 4 bedroom and it was perfect!!!!”

April 2023Great Time
We loved our stay at the Diamante Lagoon Tower. I was a little concerned at first as it seemed we were walking into a hotel, but when we got to our room I was pleasantly surprised. The accomodations are first class. The 4 bedroom suite was well appointed and spacious. The staff were all fantastic; professional and very friendly. The lagoon is just a short walk away and there was plenty to do there including kayaking, paddle boarding, and swimming. There is a beach/sand area along the lagoon if you want that sort of vibe or you can just enjoy time near the hot tub without the sand mess. There is a very nice putting green available during daylight hours. There were not many young people present while we were there but I'm not sure what it would be like during the summer when school is out in the US. There aren't many restaurants on site and the pricing was a bit steep for food and drinks. For example, a mojito was almost $30 US dollars! It is easy to get transportation into town to go to restaurants or to the grocery store. We hired a private chef from PrivateChefLosCabos.com to cook dinner for us at night and they were very reasonable (came out to approx $40-50/per person) and the food was amazing. Even better, they cleaned up after they were done cooking! If you like to golf, there are two great courses available but plan to spend $300 in greens fee for each course. There are several great courses in Cabo but these will also run in the $200-300 range for the green fee. We love Cabo so we will definitely be going back.”

March 2023Great for Families
We have stayed before and always enjoy. The only issues is it is so far from other properties it is always a 25-45 minute cab ride to go anywhere. There was a lot of construction going on so very dusty. The unit is spacious but is a little tired. The balcony small for a 4 bedroom. The lagoon water very cold. On the plus, the staff was amazing. The restaurants are great and the salad bar for lunch amazing.”

December 2022Spacious and convenient
Located within steps of the lagoon and pool, we enjoyed our stay tremendously. Space is large and comfortable. Not what I’d call luxurious but very adequate for large groups. Will definitely return! ”

December 2022Stunning facility
Our stay was absolutely wonderful. The unit was pristine, modern and well cared for. The staff at the resort were excellent and extremely helpful. The only item that you need to be aware of is the golf is quite expensive, $320 USD per round and the daily $20 USD gym fee per person is somewhat annoying and costly if you have multiple family members going daily. Otherwise all the facilities are top notch and the resort itself is stunning. Would return without question.”

April 2022Family holiday
Very nice accomodations, the lagoon and activities around it were very nice. The par 3 course and mini golf were really fun to enjoy with the family. The staff was very friendly. The beach was not too close and not many accomodations on the beach. ”

April 2022Beautiful resort, great staff
Everyone on the staff was extremely helpful, accommodating, and friendly. The activities hut by the lagoon had really fun helpful people as well. We did kayaking and paddle boarding every day. The pool was small but warm, but there is an additional lap pool near the gym that’s great.”

October 2021Astonishing and jaw dropping space and views!
A group of us stayed here and could not believe the size of the suite and huge bedrooms and bathrooms. You could get lost just wandering around the apartment. The lagoon was brilliant fun and relaxing by the pool was just what we needed. Food was great and we did venture out to Nobu and loved the beachside.”

February 2022Beautiful Well Maintained Property
Our room was gorgeous, 4-bedroom Lagoon Tower. The entire property is well maintained and very clean. We really enjoyed the SPA and the lagoon. I wish they had more restaurant choices. The ones that are there are good but it would be nice to have some variety. We would go back anytime.”

October 2021Great Accommodations on the Pacific Side - far from anything
The suite is beautiful and the service is great. I give it 4 stars because of the location being so far out (30 - 40 minutes) to town and because there are only 2 restaurants and no meal packages available. The onsite restaurants are expensive for what you get. Ziggi's is good though. ”
Dorthea Marie D.
October 2021Beautiful resort
The suite was enormous and beautiful. Each bedroom had its own bathroom. There was also a bathroom in the hallway. The kitchen was huge. It did not have a stove but it had a convection microwave oven. The kitchen also had a separate ice maker. We received exceptional service from the staff. We enjoyed hanging out at the lagoon and the pool. We enjoyed playing Mexican bingo with Louis at the activity center. Food and service was great at the Sportsbar and Amigo's restaurant. We did have an issue with our entry door not closing twice. The staff responded quickly and fixed it. Only other issue was that we could not use the balcony in the master suite due to 2 pigeons that were nesting there. We informed the staff but they continued to nest there. ”

October 2020Very bad experience
The first in dictation that the quality we had heard such high standard was not up to par began on Saturday. When we had to wait 45 minutes at the lobby before we received the attention from anybody. Not only where we not being paid attention, but we were actively avoided. We were third in line and Sergio kept ignoring us and left to never be seen again when we finally reached the desk. I was asking questions, asking who I could talk to for check in (which we had scheduled at 12pm) but either people didn’t know anything or didn’t want to tell us. After standing for 45 minutes of Sergio’s disappearance he came back for a magistral appearance. To say that he was rude would be putting it mildly, he didn’t look us in the face and actively faced away from us. We asked him questions and it almost seemed like he was deaf because we didn’t hear one word come out of his mouth. Now, this would have been understandable if we had been aggressive or rude or anything of the matter, but it seemed like he just didn’t like us because we were young. Just as quickly as he came back, he left and then once again had to go to the back of the other line to wait for Cesar. (who was much nicer than Sergio). So we check in with Cesar only to tell us that our room won’t be ready until 3pm! Even though it said on the app that we could be there at 12 (and checkin for that time).Although this was unprofessional it was not a big deal, but it was indicative of the already rough start to the experience. My girlfriend and my business partner walk to the restaurant to wait for our room. I do not know who manages the restaurant, but the food was horrible. It felt like I was in a cheap sports bar in the middle of Arkansas but instead was paying 150$ for terrible service and a terrible meal. By terrible service I mean that one of us received their chicken sandwich 20 minutes before the other chicken sandwich. Now im no chef, but I feel like the same meal should be ready at the same time. This was uncomfortable as we didn’t want to start our meal until everyone had their food. (By the way, each one of these things isn’t that big of an issue but when it is consistent then it is.) We then go back to the lobby at 3:00pm only to find out, the room was still not ready so they said 3:30. (Which it wasn’t because the housekeeper was still there till 4pm.) The morning after my business partner and I go to work to downtown Cabo and my girlfriend stays in the Suite to rest. A few hours later she tells me someone is in the suite, and this was way after the cleaning staff came (around 7-8pm) and had left so it was not them, my girlfriend said she could hear steps in the kitchen and some noise. I told her to stay locked in her room and I hurried back to Diamante. Coming back I notice that the front door lock does not work (video attached) so this leaves me thinking with 2 options, A) someone forced the entry or B) it never worked and anybody could’ve just walked in. The fact that my girlfriend was in our hotel room and a random person had walked in and was roaming the apartment is enough to be furious. To think of what could have happened sends me chills down my spine. She has many stalkers due to her profession and the lack of security was worrisome. We’re lucky nothing happened. The next day I leave to work again and my girlfriend then calls me saying there is animal soon to be dead in the balcony, so I called concierge to send someone to assist, and low and behold, nobody ever showed up. Then, my girlfriend orders room service to have some lunch, it took a while to get to the room and when it did the guy who brought it was very creepy. My girlfriend doesn’t make this stuff up. He was supposed to bring room service and leave but instead he thought it was appropriate to stay in the room for a few minutes to talk to her even though she was not interested. It goes without saying but a woman by herself in a apartment with a random man trying to flirt with her is intimidating and scary, for it to be an employee is just an extra level of unprofessionalism. To be specific, he started to ask a lot of questions, if she was alone here, who was she with, trying to get a lot of information from her in a creepy / flirty way and he would not leave. We are just on Monday and still have a few days to go here but I don’t think we will stay the entire time if this keeps going like this. The actual living arrangements are OK but so far the experiences we have had with the service and the people has been just terrible. I would never come back here nor will I recommend this for any third home member. Also, on a side note, the last 3 days there was no cleaning service”

March 2019Five stars all the way
We’ve stayed at Diamante multiple times and we ALWAYS have a great time. The property is amazing but the service is even better. If you go, be sure to make it to El Cardonal bar and grill for the seared ahi tuna tacos! Wow. They are the best tacos in Cabo.”

August 2016Diamante
It was amazing. The lagoon was amazing. Never saw anything like that. Golf was amazing. What a gorgeous resort!! I would go back in a second! 4 bedroom suite was huge. It was the best I have ever stayed in and I am a Ritz Carlton Club owner so that is really saying something!”

August 2015Definitely Pros AND Cons
Let me start by saying that the 4 bedroom condo (low floor in the tower) was very, very nice. This property is absolutely huge and, when complete (10 years) will be outstanding. The "lagoon" is impressive but grows old by the end of the week. The service and food is above average. Those are the "pros". Here are the "cons": You are a $35 taxi ride from most activities in Cabo. Private shuttles are more. There are views of the Pacific but no beach access (not safe to swim there we're told). Unfortunately, the amount of construction in and/or outside the building (we woke to it every day) was staggering. The biggest "knock" in our view is that, even thought they claim to be "member friendly" (food, beverage prices, etc.) they set the currency exchange rate at about a 12.5 % discount to the actual rate. That means, that for all purchases on property you pay a premium because of their artificially set rate. They claim it's an issue with their Visa/MC machine yet they use a hand held calculator (therefore they can "divide" by any number) to determine US dollars. You can pay in Mexican Pesos but if you're going to get them on property (there's only 1 ATM) do it early because there was no cash available on check out day. Hmmmm..... Not a very good "member experience. ”

August 2015Great service!
We really enjoyed our stay at Diamante. The condo was brand new and in perfect condition; however, it did lack some of the things that we needed (laundry detergent, bath soap - ie: starter supplies). The resort is still under construction and the condo was smack in the middle of the ongoing work - we were told that they still have 2-3 more years to go until the project is complete. Overall, the resort is great - and the service is INCREDIBLE (thank you - Salvadore, Oscar, Sergio and Jonathon!!). Great food, wine, and needless to say, the golf is amazing! If you are wanting a secluded and private golf/pool/fitness get away - this is the ideal place! We tend to be more of an active family that likes to go-go-go - so we spent most of our time going on day trips offsite. Beware that the resort is off the beaten path and a cab ride to most of the desired locations in and around Cabo can run anywhere from 50-150$ (usd) each way. Most of Cabo only operates on cash or Visa/MasterCard (no AMEX). Highlights and must do's: dinner at Edith's. Lunch at The Office and surfing at Cerritos Beach! We also spent an afternoon at Cabo Surf Hotel: a great spot to lunch and surf. All in all - we had a blast and look forward to returning to Diamante in a few years - once the construction is completed. ”
