Love this property. Only negative they put us in tower where street noise is loud. They would only put us in garden view villa if everyone in our party agreed to do timeshare presentation.”

September 2024Awesome place ... maid service is excellent!
Positives: Room Tech and overall quality. Service and food outstanding. Groundkeeping is excellent. Love Pool and Pool Bar. Architecture at resort is amazing. Maid Service was excellent! Negatives: Traffic noise from tower, drink pricing, Mimosa for $48. Whispering Angel Rose $32 per glass or $142 per bottle. Breakfast buffet is limited selection and expensive. Needs better wifi at the pool area. We will definitely return. ”

October 2024Wonderful Repeat Stay
Staff is as friendly and helpful as ever. Very low pressure this visit to sit through the time share meeting. The room was clean and well kept. The service amenities have dropped off a bit. Minimal turn down service. Basically dropping off bottled water, (which was nice though). Our unit had no desk chairs, but requested and they brought up. Dining prices are on the higher side and service can be really slow at a few restaurants. The beach lounge area hasn't been fully put back together from the last big storm. But the pool area is really nice and again staff is friendly and helpful. Resident rooms are at the back of the hotel near the fwy. They are on the noisier side and car noise can be heard in the front bedroom and balcony. ”

August 2024Great Experience
The Villa in the Club at Solaz is absolutely beautiful, totally equipped with kitchen and all you need to prepare some food away from home. The view from the terraze is incredible. Rocio, the Concierge in the Hotel helped us to make all the needed reservations for the tours with the best companies in town. All the Staff in the Hotel are very friendly and helpful in any matter you need. The pool in the Hotel is huge and beautiful. One thing all the family liked was that the Hotel is located in between San Lucas and San José del Cabo, 10 to 15 minutes drive in any direction, so you get to visit the best of what Los Cabos is all about, food, golf, ocean activities, the magic city center of San José. By the way, the food is delicious anywhere you go. We love every single thing about our stay at The Solaz. and definitively will come back. Fernando Balderas and family”

June 2024We will return!
We enjoyed our stay at the Solaz Villas. The service and staff were outstanding. We loved their gym. There are big swimming pools and several hot tubs. They are right on the beach. We stayed in a 3-bedroom Villa that was very nice. My two negatives are: The living room was small and did not have enough comfortable seating for six adults. We stayed on the second floor; the view of the water was good, but the balcony grounds were ugly. We would stay on a higher floor next time. We will definitely return. ”

April 2024Needed some down time away from computers.
The service was over the top, the amazing staff went out of their way to exceed all your expectations. Even the room service food is served hot and high quality like you were sitting at the restaurant table. This place knows how to do it. Curt ”

April 2024Amazing as always
Our third stay at the Solaz, never disappoints. Beautiful property, very family friendly while also being upscale and design focused. Love the infinity pools, proximity to beautiful beach and delicious restaurants. Staff are super accommodating and helpful, rooms are very comfortable and well designed. Love having a kitchen and more space for our family when travelling. ”

March 2024Relaxing Retreat
Property is Spa like in nature, grounds are immaculatly manicured. Succulents of all varieties abound. The unit is lovely, luxury sheets & towels. The kitchen is stocked with just the basics. We enjoyed our stay, but if you are looking for pool activities, water sports, or a short drive to the marina and Arch, this is not the place for you. If you enjoy relaxing & reading a book at the endless pool, being served by the friendly staff you will not be disappointed. ”

March 2024Great layout in room and excellent customer service
Views are awesome. Customer service is top notch. Drinks and food prices are really high. Also rooms in tower have street noise so ask for garden rooms near beach. Staff and swim up bar are phenomenal ”

December 2023Noisy stay
The two secondary bedrooms are on the backside of he unit. The solaz is right on the major highway and you hear the road noise all night. They needed better soundproofing. Other than that it is a beautiful resort. ”

November 2023Very mixed bag
2.5 stars if I could. Glad we only paid maintenance fees. First the positives: the resort is beautiful and the staff are excellent. No improvement needed at all. Major negative: lack of hot water. We even moved room because of it and had the same problem. We had to run the shower for 20min to get the water luke warm. Minor negatives: the auto-turn on in 5 of 6 faucets in the gym and Mako restrooms did not work. Also the room lights are on a motion sensor, which led to them turning off and the curtains automatically closing when we were sitting still watching TV, several times. Also the ice machines in both refrigerators put out about 2 cubes an hour. Overall impression: great on the surface, but we went away feeling like nothing actually wires. ”

March 2023Solaz
The resort overall was nice and clean. The rooms were very nice. Biggest disappointment in the unit was there was no pool/hot tub on the balcony as it shows in all of the pictures and mentions it in the description. My kids were looking forward to that. Also food and drink is very high priced but that is somewhat to be expected for this type of resort. There is only a breakfast buffet option at $60/person whether adult or kid. There is no option just to order off of a menu. We were a group of 5 so $300+ per day on breakfast is outrageous. We ended up ordering room service instead as it was a more reasonable option. Overall a nice resort and we would probably go back in the future. ”

February 2023Better Places to Stay
Solaz has recently reopened after being closed for 18 months for seismic repairs. We were the first guests to stay in our villa which was probably the reason for most of our issues. The villa was large and comfortable, but not well thought out - two chairs on the patio for a 3 bedroom villa, no oven or even a toaster oven. A few major issues with the villa - in the bath the tile was sloped incorrectly in the shower so the water flooded the room, there was an electrical issue in the kitchen and when the microwave was used it would pop the circuit breaker. In addition the wifi was very spotty which among other things, made it difficult to play music on the sound system. On a positive note the staff and maintenance crew were very responsive and kind. They tried their hardest to make things right. I totally understand new construction and can be very forgiving when things go wrong, but what I think really turned me off to Solaz was the cost of the food. I don't mind paying for good food, but $45 for a basic hamburger is a bit over the top. Solaz is located about 15 minutes in a car from either Cabo San Lucas or Cabo San Jose so to go out to eat is a bit of a haul. If you are going to stay at Solaz factor the cost of the food into your vacation. Cooking in your Villa is possible, but you only have a cook top and a microwave so plan to be creative. While we had a nice vacation in Cabo I think there are better places to stay.”

March 2021Covid spoiled our memory
We were planning a memorable vacation and wedding but the government imposed restrictions on occupancy resulting in our stay being moved to a sister resort. The room we were given was nowhere near the luxurious accomodations of Solaz as Hacienda Del Mar is more of a traditional Mexican resort. Our suite was lacking in some of the most basic areas and amenities and management was notified. The next day we waited until after noon to be moved to a different room that was much nicer. Because of the inconveince we were given free breakfasts during our stay but apparently the staff wasn't made aware of that as my daughter was told they weren't entitled to the breakfasts making for an embarrasing and uncomfortable situation that was resolved amicably. Our guests were told they needed to attend a presentation to receive some of the offerings we were given for having to switch resorts which once again was embarrasing. The reort is nice but nowhere near the level of luxury the Solaz offers. I will give credit where credit is due because the Solaz resort did issue us a certificate for a future stay at the Solaz to make up for our loss. In closing I appreciated Hacienda Del Mar going the extra mile with surprise treats in our room and a special breakfast on our last day. ”

February 2021Hacienda del Mar
We were moved from the Solaz to Hacienda Del Mar due to occupancy restrictions imposed by Mexico. We were shown to a suite that was not acceptable for our group, and the staff worked to remedy the situation - much to our satisfaction. The staff was very friendly and professional. Service at all venues was fantastic, as was the food in all the restaurants on site. Overall an excellent stay, and we highly recommend this resort. In the end, we were happy to have been moved from the contemporary Solaz to the very traditional, colonial Hacienda Del Mar. ”

February 2021Incredible Resort. Will stay again.
Aesthetically, this is one of the most beautiful hotels I've ever seen. The rooms are big and comfortable with all the tech needed for entertaining or work from home. Gracious staff too. We will 100% stay again.”

The Solaz is the premier resort in Cabo. I would highly recommend. Do not bother with the sales pitch, use your Third Home membership insead.”

December 2020A fine experience.
A fine experience all around. Gorgeous property, excellent service from both the restaurants, pool and room staff as well as the front desk. All the restaurants on the property are more than serviceable, and we had a few truly wonderful dishes. Would certainly come back again.”

November 20204 person jacuzzi and hammock on balcony with ocean view!
Loved our stay at Solaz in late November 2020.. Felt very safe. All employees wear masks all the time. Lots of social distancing at resort. Infinity pool with swim up bar. Daily maid service. Food was terrific. Looking forward to our next trip. Hotel only 1/3 full, but still had full staff and all restaurants open. ”

November 2020Cabo Beach
The Solaz resort is architecturally stunning. It has great views and adults were capable of swimming in the ocean, though I would not recommend that for children due to undertow. Staff is extremely helpful. Well appointed unit had small frustrations like plates that did not fit in dishwasher. Restaurants and bars on site are top notch, though pricey. My only real complaint was that I was interested in potential ownership and after sitting through their 3 hour presentation, I found out they only have fractional ownership still available. Had we been told that up front, we would not have utilized our time in that fashion. Skip the sales session and enjoy the natural beauty of the resort. ”

November 2020Beautiful resort and lovely room
The 3 bedroom, 4 bath residence is very nice. Beautiful views of the ocean from the master and the living room. The hotel is very conveniently located. Service was always fabulous. A little light on food options for lunch (likely covid related), but all the food was good. Nice beach area. They would like to give you a timeshare presentation but were respectful when we declined and still treated us fabulously. Would definitely go again.”

March 2020Great Resort!
We had a great time at Solaz. The staff is super friendly and the dining options are excellent. Wild Canyon is nearby and offers lots of excursions and is owned by the same family, so you can get discounts for the activities if you attend a marketing presentation. The only downside of the resort is the beach is not safe for swimming due to riptides. The location is central between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose. It's a new resort, so everything is practically new. Rooms are well-appointed, etc. Highly-recommended. ”

October 2019Fantastic resort
The resort is quite nice. The swimming pool amenities are terrific. The spa is one of best I’ve been to. The food at pool was excellent. The location can’t be beat. I’ve been to Solaz a few times and love it. There really is nothing bad I can say. There is also no construction going on at the resort. ”

March 2019Solaz los Cabos
The Solaz is a brand new resort located about half way between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose Del Cabo on a magnificent beach with gorgeous views from the room. The resort was beautiful and the service excellent. The restaurants were nice as well. The spa and work out facility were first class. Our three bedroom villa was nicely equipped with four bathrooms and a veranda overlooking the ocean. I would certainly go back and highly recommend it.”
Mark L.
March 2019Beautiful Pool and Beaches
Solaz is beautiful. Perfect for resort people who love endless infinity pools and walkable beaches. It’s located on the beach midway between San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas so if you rent a car, you’re accessible to many great restaurants. The views are stunning. It’s a new resort so it’s going through some growing pains. Water temps in the showers are a problem. Either scalding or cold. Housekeeping does a good job but there were days when they didn’t make up the rooms until 4 pm. But the staff are very accommodating and bent over backwards to accommodate us. We loved the morning water exercise classes from Jorge and Daniel. Onsite restaurants are good. Beds were very comfortable.”
