Description

Anastasia Villa

Sporty, stylish, stunning, sociable… Cape Town is unlike any other destination in Africa: Separated from the rest of the continent by a ring of mountains, Cape Town stands as a glittering metropolis juxtaposed with one of the world's most breathtaking natural landscapes. You'll fall in love with this city's khaki-colored beaches, rolling vineyards, sizzling cuisine, thriving nightlife, and, of course, the spectacular Table Mountain.

South to Cape Town, this 5-Bed Chapman's Peak home has been entirely remodeled top to bottom and will soon be featured in both Conde Naste and House and Leisure magazines.

Its name, Anastasis, means 'rising up' and 'rejuvenation,' a fitting title for the spectacular home.

Incredible natural details throughout the house do an amazing job of connecting the space, which echoes African woods, to the beauty of the surrounds. Attention to fine detail and African design is noted throughout the house - A hand-carved Zanzibari double-door greets each guest, and sourced African antiques are found throughout the house. You will also find a private outdoor pool to bring you fully into the beautiful surroundings.

The house has a private path to an expansive view of one of the most famous beaches in South Africa: Noordhoek beach.

The property also features a chef's kitchen and a mother-in-law cottage with private decks and spaces throughout, including a secluded outdoor shower.

Incredible open-space living, dining and kitchen, and sliding stacking doors to a large surround deck means indoor-outdoor living at its finest.

If you're bringing the whole family along, you'll appreciate the dedicated children's area of the home! One of the downstairs bedrooms is a children's room outfitted with bunk beds (sleeps two) and an ensuite bathroom. Adjacent to this room is a separate children's playroom. This room has a bookshelf with children's games and toys, a long table with two children's chairs, two lovely beanbag chairs, and a basket of toys.

The house is perfect for large family get together and entertaining. During winter, cozy around the double-sided fireplace, a showcase in the expansive living area. The upstairs master suite is sleeping at its best: open the glass doors and windows and fall asleep to the lull of the waves. Incredible.

South Africa is known for its amazing wine and cuisine, and this area has easy access to all of the very best, some of these even within walking or biking distance. We also have access to a private chef and personal masseuse who are familiar with the house and available to provide services as needed.

Memorable family vacation

We recently stayed in at Anastasia Villa in Noordhoek, near Cape Town, and had an incredible experience. The house was spacious and beautifully decorated, with extremely comfortable beds. The house concierge, Sian, was wonderfully helpful and quick to answer all our questions. She provided great tips and was a fantastic host. The view from the house is breathtaking; you can even see the lighthouse at night. There is also private access to the beach, which added to the charm of our stay. Just a five-minute walk from the house, there's a charming shopping area with a café and Limoncello, one of our favorite restaurants. A car is essential for exploring, with Cape Town a 45-minute drive away or just 25 minutes via Chapman's Peak. The drive is safe and very pleasant, we drove it almost everyday even at night coming back from dinner in Cape Down and it was lovely. Additionally, Boulders Beach, where you can see the penguins, is less than 20 minutes away. Our stay was in June, and though it was getting a bit cooler, the fireplace kept the house nice and warm. The kitchen was fully stocked, making it easy to prepare meals. Our daughters, aged eight and ten, loved the space. We highly recommend this home, especially for families with kids. We had a memorable time and thank the family for allowing us to make lifelong memories. We would love to come back in the near future!”

Great Views.

The views from the property are very much as depicted in the photos - beautiful beach views - and the beach is easily accessible from the home. The location of the property is a bit out of the way - a rental car would definitely be an asset, but we relied on private drivers. The living space is large, and there are some lovely, unique pieces of furniture. There is a great little resort located just above the property, and a 3-minute walk accessible via a path through the back of the property. Monkey Valley Resort has a very nice breakfast menu at very reasonable prices. Their dinner menu looked nice, as well, but we did not dine there. All in all, a nice property very suitable for couples or for a family. ”
