Fantastic House, location, golf and owner engagement

We couldn't rate our Dunalistair experience in Taupo more highly. House was wonderful. Alistair went out of his way to be helpful including booking us in for golf at a discounted price. He has recently had split system aircons installed in the bedrooms which we were grateful for. Not sure if his listing has been updated. We would definitely return”

Fantastic Stay at Dunalistair House

Our stay at Dunalistair House in Kinloch was absolutely fantastic. Alistair met us at the house upon arrival and showed us the interworking of this modern gem. He was a great host and also made many wonderful recommendations for our stay. The house is so open and airy that you feel like you are staying in the outdoors. It has amazing views of the Kinloch Golf Course and the sunsets are out of this world. The location being close to Taupo allows for so many activities. We went on a sailboat cruise to see the Maori carvings, Mountain bike riding around Huka Falls, hiking on the Great Lake Trail, Fly Fishing, Spa day at the Wairakei Terraces and lots of relaxing in this gorgeous house. We would love to come back! Thank you Alistair for making it available on Third Home. ”

WOW, What a beautiful home

Staying in Alistair's home on Kinloch golf course just outside of Taupo was one of the highlights of our 6 week trip to New Zealand. 8 friends and family gathered together in this home and to a person we could not stop raving on how wonderful and comfortable this home is. Kristy and Alistair are great hosts. They spent ample time with us reviewing the amenities of the home and provided great recommendations on local restaurants, activities and guides. They also responded quickly with questions during our stay Do you golf, sail, fish, hike, site see, bike...? This area has it all. I wish I could give a rating above a 5. The Dunalistair House deserves it.”

Perfect golfing outdoor activity location with luxury thrown in

Our experience at Dunalistair house was fantastic from the point of booking! Alistair was a great communicator and host - taking the trouble to meet us personally at check in and providing lots of information on the area along with offers to help with booking the many activities available in the area. The house was spacious and perfect four couples. Well equipped and very comfortable. The loaction was stunning - peacful with beautiful views over the golf course to the lake and mountains. Highly recommended if you are keen on an action packed great outdoors adventure. ”

Dunalistair House at The Kinloch Golf Club

This home is beautiful right on the golf course, so comfortable and spacious. We were able to see incredible parts of New Zealand by day and settle into watching The Hobbit in the the comfy media room by night. The golf clubhouse serves up great breakfasts and coffee that we thoroughly enjoyed. It’s a must do adventure world that you shouldn’t miss! ”

Spectacular golf course resort home

The pictures on Third Home do not do this home justice. The views are gorgeous and it sits right on #3 green and #4 tee box and the home was perfect in every way. Alistair was extremely helpful and a delight to meet. The golf course Is challenging and an absolute pleasure to play. I highly recommend this home and resort. Beautiful home with breathtaking views.

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful, stylish and confortable home. It is incredibly relaxing with its breathtaking views of the golf course and Lake Taupo. Allistair was very accomodating and we followed his recommendations for sightseeing and tours which were very helpful. Tha landscape in this area is overwhelming, so even if you are not golfers, there are tons of things to do and see in the nearby surroundings, not to mention the relaxing moments at sunset on the wide open areas of this gorgeous home. Just wish I can come back again sometime. Thank you for sharing your home.”

Thanksgiving at Dunalistair House

This was a family trip of a lifetime! Alistair went above and beyond for us to make this time in New Zealand extraordinary. The home on Kinloch Golf Club was stunning, comfortable, beautifully stocked and the perfect home for exploring the North Island. Alistair set us up with a fishing captain, Nick, who took us out on Lake Taupo where we caught 10 large trout. The only restaurant in Kinloch, The Tipsy, a family owned place cooked it up for us in incredible style and taste - we were able to share our bounty with all the locals that night. Fantastic week at Kinloch

We had a wonderful week at Dunalistair House in Kinloch. The house itself is large and with four bedrooms, each with their own ensuite, media room and large living area. We had 2 families staying and everyone had plenty of space. The house itself is located on the golf course, with lovely views across the course, to the hills and the lake. A very peaceful and serene spot. Everything you would expect was provided in the house, which was modern, clean and beautifully built. This is a fantastic location for water activities, with the lake a quick 2 min drive away. We spent the week boating, pinicing and waterskiing - which was made easy by mooring the boat in the marina at Kinloch. There are many other activities in the area, with fantastic new bike tracks around the lake. There are also many other activities in Taupo itself only 15 mins away by car. In all, a great stay, great location - we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. ”
