Amazing vacation @ Raiwasa

Raiwasa was by far one of the most amazing experiences we have been on thus far, and we have traveled extensively throughout the world. The staff goes above and beyond to make your stay a one-of-a-kind stay. Their attention to detail is amazing and very much appreciated. The house boasts elegance and comfort with the most amazing views around. The outdoor bathrooms are nothing shy of heavenly. The tours were personalized and having the drinks and food available to us after our hikes were much appreciated. They truly think of everything you will need and have it available to you. The wealth of knowledge about the island was appreciated also. Adriel never seemed annoyed with our countless questions :) The food! I am not sure I could write a review deserving enough of the food. Every day we were impressed with the presentation and taste. By far some of the best food we have ever eaten, and the table presentation was top-notch as well. The ladies were very creative in their presentations daily. If you are on the fence about Raiwasa, take the leap and commit. You will not be sorry! Truly one of my favorite places and we can't wait to go back one day because it was that magical.”

Amazing 30th Wedding Anniversary

This is not a property but an experience. The home itself is beautiful with a 180 degree view of the Ocean which is memorizing. But the experience for me was not about the amazing home but the memories the staff made for us of the Fijian Islands. The staff fully embraces taking care of whatever you need and is very mindful of your privacy at the same time. The food is catered to your personal likes, always available and delicious. As is the beverage selection. The property is set up so there are many beautiful and comfortable areas to enjoy your meals all with a beautiful view. We purchased the Platinum plan so each day started with being ask what we wanted to do. Fish, Island Hop, Explore the Island, Hike waterfalls, snorkel, scuba dive or just relax. The staff has 2 message therapists on staff so we ended each day with a message overlooking the ocean. Again the staff was so sweet and so impressive. I will give you a few examples I will never forget. When we left the house to go anywhere the car or boat was packed with towels,suntan lotion, food, a cooler packed to our specification. You didn't have to think about anything. One day we decided we were going to go hike the waterfall. Mela the charming young lady who was taking care of us that day ask if we wanted lunch at the waterfall or when we got home. I replied at the waterfall would be great. I assumed she would pack a lunch for us. When we finished hiking, Mela was at the bottom of the fall with a surprise picnic lunch set up for us! On our anniversary we did the go Fijian Day. Amazing. Not only did we learn a lot about the culture and island but also met the children of same of the staff members as they entertained us with traditional song and dance. If you are contemplating taking advantage of this - just do it. You will not be disappointed. Our experience far outweighed the cost. A trip of a lifetime! I could only be so lucky to go back! And if the staff reads these review we miss you all! ”

Fiji Adventure

Raiwasa is a truly amazing and unique vacation experience. From the moment my family and I arrived in Matei, everything was taken care of by Bogi, Ritchie and the rest of the Raiwasa team. Every morning we would plan our day that would include another adventure - horse back riding, snorkeling, visiting the local villages, hiking into waterfalls or touring remote islands to name a few. When the day’s adventures were done, we were able to come back to Raiwasa and relax with a spa treatment and drinks poolside. The food was impeccable with a specified dinner planned each and every night based on locally sourced products from that day. Add a great selection of wines to the amazing food for pairing and our culinary expectations were surpassed every day. After several days of action packed adventure, the entire family spent two days relaxing at Raiwasa and taking in the beach, pool and the unforgettable Fijian sunsets. We have been fortunate to have travelled all over the world and experience many different cultures and resorts - Raiwasa easily tops them all and is the best family vacation we have ever had. We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Raiwasa Resort in Taveuni, Fiji. This trip was a once in a lifetime vacation and we were very discerning in the selection of our lodging. We found Raiwasa online and judging from the pictures, we had high expectations. Raiwasa, it would turn out, is one of those unique and special places where its reality would exceed your anticipations. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a cheerful man named Bogi, who quickly shuttled us and our baggage out of the Fijian heat and into his well air-conditioned vehicle, equipped with refreshing cleansing clothes. When we asked how long it would take to get to the resort, he was all smiles as he proclaimed “we’re here!” and promptly turned into the resort’s driveway – under 10 minutes from the airstrip! We were immediately met by the whole staff of ten who were singing a welcome song, embellishing us with handmade lays of garden grown flowers and passing out delicious frozen cocktails made with tropical fruits also resort grown. What a pampered way to start your vacation in paradise!! From the moment you arrive to the last day you leave, you will note that Raiwasa is both stunning and impeccably clean. The panoramic view of the ocean and neighboring Fijian islands is breathtaking. The grounds are meticulously manicured and you will find yourself feeling completely relaxed and at home. The resort is exclusive, very private, and well-designed with open and airy space. The pool and cabana are an oasis after a full day of fishing or watersports. The bedrooms are tastefully minimalistic, placing emphasis the natural beauty of the surrounding ocean or garden views. Each day, the bedrooms and baths are charmingly adorned with tropical flowers on top of fresh linens. Every meal was served amid a lovely table-scape of fresh flowers and seashells at a venue of your choice – on the terrace, on the beach, in the dining room or poolside – wherever you wish! We often chose the terrace for our dinner service because the sunset was purely magical. The very knowledgeable staff always discussed the daily meal selections and got to know our likes and dislikes right away. We had ample food options to choose from in the menu suggestions provided, but they were happy to offer alternatives when we were in the mood for something else. One night before a morning fishing trip, we mentioned we wanted fried chicken for lunch instead of sandwiches and sure enough, the next day, we had fried chicken for our lunch on the boat! The quality, quantity and presentation of all our meals were simply outstanding. We would be remiss if we didn’t end our accolades with how wonderful each member of Raiwasa’s staff is – in a nutshell, they are the heart and soul of this establishment. There is nothing you would want that they could not provide for you comfort. Whether it was a margarita – just the way you like it – served poolside at the push of a button, or a massage for aching muscles done with Dillo lotion to sooth the sunburn too, they always had our comfort and happiness at the core of their service mentality. We would highly recommend Raiwasa to discerning world travelers seeking a culturally fun and luxurious get-away! ”

Best trip ever

Raiwasa is without question, the best vacation we have ever experienced. From the time we arrived until our plane took off, every need was accommodated and the level of service was impeccable. Richie and the whole team were incredible and we left feeling like we were a part of the Raiwasa family. We took full advantage of the activities offered and learned so much about the special island of Taveuni and Fijian culture. While we did a lot of exploring and activities, there was still plenty of time for a daily massage and relaxing by the pool. To say the food at Rawaisa is incredible would be an understatement. The garden on the property provides so many fresh, local fruits that are served daily. Everything we ate was thoughtfully and beautifully prepared. Meals were a stand-alone experience every time we sat down to eat. The best part of our trip to Raiwasa was the people who are there. Richie and team are thoughtful, kind and anticipate every need. It is a true team effort, and we loved getting to know each special person who is part of the team. Everyone contributed something unique to the overall experience during our week there. The level of service is incredible. Raiwasa exceeded every expectation we had. My husband and I went for a week-long vacation just the two of us, but we can’t wait to return with our children.
