July 2014Above the Clouds was "Heavenly"
We spent the week up in the clouds. The most tranquil part was upon pulling into the driveway, and hearing the wind whisper through the clouds and all around us. Complete silence. The house is spectacularly clean, and is very well appointed. It is perfect for a couple like us, or a family, or 3 couples. The views sitting on the deck in the rocking chairs overlooking the mountains is just breathtaking. We grilled out in the evening and used the fireplace a few nights on the deck. Jenny, the owner, was a delight to work with as well. My only one concern is the management company needs to simplify their check in procedures after 7 pm, as we arrived later than expected and had no information about accessing the keys. We worked it out--but it is a simple issue made much more complicated than need be! Otherwise, this was just perfect and we will be back.”

June 2014Good for relaxation
This property is nicely decorated, very clean and comfortable. The view is absolutely incredible. The location is private and quiet, a superior place if you are interested in staying put and relaxing. The property is about 12 miles from the town of Blue Ridge which has quaint shops and some great restaurants. Much of the drive is on curvy mountain roads, several miles unpaved: causing us to alter plans regarding the number ot times we dined in town. ”
