The sea/ fjord is a 20-minute drive away down the mountain.
Geilo is a one-hour drive away and a trendy tourist spot with many restaurants and activities.

While the house promises comfort and relaxation, guests should note that access is via a steep gravel road, which is particularly challenging in winter. Snow can be expected at Maurset between November and May and at these times it is not possible to drive up to the property. Parking will be at the ski lift further down the hill, however you can book a snow scooter (at an additional cost) to help you get up with luggage and groceries. With WiFi connectivity and five bedrooms, this holiday home is equipped to cater to all your needs, ensuring a memorable stay amidst the splendour of Maurset.

There are some small sweet grocery shops nearby and the nearest town is 20 min drive away.

A 4x4 vehicle is recommended to drive up the steep hill to the cabin.

Guests should be aware that access is via a steep gravel road, which is particularly challenging in winter.

It is not possible to drive all the way up to the cabin when there is snow, generally between November and May. Parking will be further down the hill by the ski centre, but a snow scooter can be booked at an additional cost, particularly useful for arrival and departure. The walk up the hill will take approx 15 minutes.
