November 2024Amazing Old Soul!
We stayed here for our Thanksgiving trip with our family, and it was truly amazing. This home should be on a tv show. I’m a general contractor and I couldn’t stop admiring the craftsmanship and the thoroughness of literally every inch of this build. The location is also fantastic. You’re right on the beach, and it feels like it’s your own beach. The house faces south, so it’s one of the rare places on the eastern coast where you get both sunrise and sunset. The owners are splendid. Wonderful communicators and really make sure that you have everything you need. Thank you for opening this magical place. I’d stay here over and over.”

October 2024Dreamy beachfront luxury
This home is incredible and the setting is even better! The beach feels like your own private beach. The views from the multiple balconies are as serene as you'll get anywhere. One of the best parts for our group was the combination of the closeness to the beach and the private feel so that we weren't worried as our kids went back and forth to the house and the beach. The house itself is very well done. The design details were quite impressive. Three golf carts were great on this carless island and the made for fun trips exploring the island. Sammy was a very responsive host. If you haven't traveled to Bald Head Island, just ensure that you are prepared for very limited grocery shopping and restaurants. This home demonstrates exactly why Third Home is such a great program!”

October 2024Spectacular Experience
Here's the updated review with that added touch of hospitality: I’ve rented over 15 beautiful homes on Bald Head Island, but none come close to the pure elegance of Old Soul. This is what true luxury feels like. The decor strikes a perfect balance—invitingly cozy, yet refined and artistic. And the appliances? Simply top-tier, leaving no room for compromise. The views from the main floor are nothing short of spectacular, with sweeping sights of the dunes and the ocean. But it’s the upstairs patio, covered for comfort, that’ll take your breath away with those endless horizon views. This isn’t just a vacation home—it’s a place you’ll never want to leave. We had a group of 12, and let me tell you, everyone had their space—whether for peaceful solitude or lively gathering. The rooms were beautifully laid out, and the common areas? Perfect for reconnecting and making memories. Even the golf carts were a delight—clean, quick, and easily the best we’ve had on the island. The host was incredibly gracious and welcoming. We were greeted with the most thoughtful gift basket, filled with delightful surprises that made us feel right at home. Don’t hesitate—book Old Soul now. But fair warning—I’m keeping my eyes on it, and if you don’t snag it, I sure will! (Or maybe don’t... because I’ll happily take it again!)”
