Breathtaking views! Amazing Property & host!

Breathtaking doesn’t begin to describe the ever changing landscape of this magnificent waterfront home! From the moment my husband and I walked in we were mesmerized by the open water views from every room! Absolutely stunning!! The designer furnishings are upscale yet comfortable. The beautiful, open chefs kitchen, although we dined out every meal, was stocked with anything you could possibly need or want. The upstairs master bedroom is huge. The his and her master baths with its rain shower and separate bathtub overlooks the water and was just heavenly. Loved the plush towels and fabulous toiletries! In addition, Barbara the host/owner was so incredibly thoughtful and forth coming with recommendations and suggestions regarding where to dine, what things to do and near by places to visit. The location is also ideal. Just a five minute walk down the street are several blocks of restaurants, grocery stores, retail, ice cream shop, bars, live entertainment, the pier, the places to book your tours etc. Our favorite restaurant was Williams and Water and Kings Brea for lunch surrounded by the magnificent gardens. We booked a whale watching tour that did not disappoint. The whales swam right up to our boat! It was amazing! We took a day trip to St.John which is only an hour away and is filled with lovely shops and a plethora of fine dining restaurants. We hope to return with our family very soon to this outstanding property. Barbara, we can’t thank you enough for sharing your incredible home with us, for your hospitality and attention to detail. St. Andrews-by-the-Sea

Frankly, I could write an essay on their hospitality with regards to our stay. Their home is dreamy and well maintained with all the luxury one could desire while on vacation. Waterfront House in Charming Town

We had a wonderful stay. This historic but fully updated house is in a beautiful setting right on the water with amazing views -- and it is just a short walk from the heart of town with restaurants and shops aplenty. There are plenty of attractions in the area, including an amazing botanic garden, great whale watching trips, and a spectacular golf course. And the owners were extremely helpful. Highly recommended!”

Glorious!

In response to your request for a review of Barbara Stanley’s home at 45 Water Street, St Andrews by the Sea, NB, I may not have enough vocabulary to do it. We were there for one week and it was glorious. The house was immaculate and Barbara had outfitted beautifully. Everything we needed was available, even down to toiletries. Another couple was with us and we all were so pleased with the comfortable beds. The linens were exquisite. The decor was lovely and the layout of the house was so convenient for two couples. The wifi was appreciated greatly as well. We were so at peace when we were in the house and loved the decks overlooking the water. The landscaping was beautiful and we loved the way the front exterior of the house fit the neighborhood, but when you entered it was more modern and delightful. What we also loved was the town of St. Andrews by the Sea and its people. Everyone was so friendly and noticed our accents and wanted to know where we were from. We felt right at home. We ate out many meals and the food was very good. We all are still basking in the joy that we had in this house, in St. Andrews and in New Brunswick. Beautiful country.”

Just wow.

I can’t say enough good things about this wonderful home. It’s beautiful, spacious, homey, and has a very private feeling. When the tide is in, the water comes right up to the deck; and when it’s out – a long way out, since this is the Bay of Fundy – the view is out over the tide flats, which are accessible only by a bit of a low-tide hike and are almost entirely unpopulated. The ever-changing scene as the tides go in and out, the light changes, and the sunshine, clouds, and fog come and go, was completely enthralling. The town of St. Andrews is charming, and we loved having a 5-minute walk to the grocery store, coffee shop, and some very nice small shops. We didn’t even take our car out of the driveway for the first 3 days, we were enjoying the house and the area within walking distance so much. We made a day trip to Campobello Island, FDR’s summer home, which we really enjoyed, and another side trip to Minister’s Island, which was unexpectedly fascinating. It is just off the coast and is accessible by car, bike, or on foot during low tide, then completely cut off during high tide. There’s a historic house museum there, and many walking trails - you could easily spend most of a day there (if you time it right between tides). Our sincere thanks to Barbara and Malcolm for the use of their beautiful home and the very helpful communication we received before and during the visit. We hope to come back. ”

Beautiful home on the Bay

This home is beautifully furnished, roomy and comfortable. Barbara, the owner, could not have been more accommodating, including making recommendations of places to vist, and restaurants. St Andrews is rather sleepy, yet a great home base from which to explore. We enjoyed watching the tides change by 25 feet. One more off our bucket list! ”

St Andrews by the Sea - Canada

The property listing was accurate. But the town, the atmosphere, the things to do are hard to capture by pictures or words. The changing conditions, due to the weather, the fog, the tides made it possible to have a different view at least 8 times a day if not more. We truly enjoyed ourselves everyday and were hoping our flight back home would be cancelled. ”

Luxury, nature, fresh fish, peaceful, fun

Everything about this home was high-end and luxurious. From the beautiful views, the chefs kitchen, the high-end hotel quality bedding, to the unbelievable bathrooms filled with lovely amenities, fresh plump towels and gorgeous views. We are members of the Ritz Carlton, and I have to say this home definitely met the standards we are accustom too. (Minus the servers who end every discussion with "my pleasure" ). The house is a very short walk from town (like five minutes) which runs along the water front. Every day we had Lobsters and some amazing fresh fish purchased in town. The town was charming and we walked there multiple times a day. However, we did spend most of our days sightseeing out of town. Recommended day trips: - Roosevelt Campabella International Island - Home of Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt. You take two ferry's, one is free. Deer Island ferry (free), then the ferry to Campabella. The ferry rides were a great way to get out on the water and experience the amazing tidal changes. - St. John's - The City Market, and the New Brunswick Museum were lovely. Also, if you're up for a challenge try Candlepin Bowling. Easy for everyone to play. It is like bowling but you use smaller balls and you throw it three times. - Fundy Trail Parkway - visit the parks amazing views and see over the top the tidal changes (about and hours drive from the house) - Wild Salmon Nature Center - Highly recommend you ask a Ranger for a quick guide. It is a small place, close by, but very educational and interesting. My family of five (3 teenage daughters and a husband), LOVED our stay in this home. The girls had the entire bottom floor to themselves, which included two double beds, a pull out sofa, 1.5 baths, the workout area, a pool table, their own laundry room, and many board games. We have the top floor all to ourselves, which included a large soaker tub, large shower, laundry room, two fireplaces, and a small room with a twin bed that was perfect for napping. In the evenings we played pool and many card and board games. It was an excellent place to relax, have fun, eat well, and enjoy endless amazing views. You definitely feel special when you stay here.”

Stunning Home By The Sea

My husband and I stayed at this stunning residence for almost two weeks in August. Every aspect of the home is perfect and reflects the exquisite taste of the owners. Barbara and Malcolm were wonderful hosts and left us many recommendations for restaurants and outings. We took their suggestions and were very pleased with the ones we tried. We especially loved Kingsbrae Gardens and spent quite a bit of time exploring this amazing English Garden and the restaurant that is within the garden. The lovely town of St. Andrews By The Sea is a jewel on the coast of New Brunswick, incredibly close to Maine. The Canadians are lovely and gracious. We really fell in love with this area and cannot wait to return. Thank you as well for the wonderful wine, Barbara.. Absolutely Fantastic!

We stayed at St. Andrews-by-the-Sea during the week of July 25, 2015. Difficult to say whether the location and view were the top attributes, or the absolutely beautiful home was best. One of the most memorable places our fussy family has ever stayed. The area - the Bay of Fundy - is quite interesting and full of potential activities. Whale watching, kayaking, hiking, and even a bit of biking are all on offer. Excellent restaurants abound, especially if you're willing to do a bit of driving to find some of the best seafood in the world. Also, the house lends itself to quite time with multiple options to relax and enjoy the scenery from the back terraces. Our host - Barbara - was exceptionally helpful and communicative. With input from her and her local contacts, we felt like locals! This property is highly recommended.”
