Maine Family Trip

Comfortable Home with Great Views

This Estate is spacious and comfortable, at the end of a secluded road with great lake views. There is both indoor and outdoor (covered) dining areas, a large den, and the bedrooms in the main house are also spacious and two have private bathrooms (2 bedrooms share one in the hallway). The owner was very responsive to our questions and provided exhaustive info on where to go and what to do in Bath and Phippsburg which we found very helpful. As a caution, although there is an elevator in the main house, for those with mobility issues there may be challenges as there are four places where there are two steps between levels with no rails (in and out of the kitchen is one), there are no steps or handrails for the hot tub (our guests who are agile still needed help in and out), and the two staircases in the "loft" are steep. We expected some furniture in the common area in the loft but there wasn't any. Appliances in the kitchen are older and we were told the electrical connections in this rural area are sporadic so for example it took 30 minutes to warm up the oven, and the fridge and dishwasher leaked. All said this is a peaceful and tranquil setting- we had a wonderful time celebrating with friends and family!”

Feels like Home, great location!

We just finished a spectacular week at Jenny's home just SW of Boothbay Maine. The weather was autumn superb to match a very large comfortable home, with well stocked kitchen, wonderful library/lounge and awe inspring views off the deck. For Maine souls (and hardy visitors), the pool was still doable in September sunny days. The home is situated perfectly for exploring the coastline with great hikes and, well,....lobster and seafood. Next time, I'm bringing my kayaks to use from Jenny's dock.”

Beautiful Property and Great Hosts!

We had a wonderful time on our family vacation in Maine. The property was large enough for all 15 of our extended family plus our 2 dogs to spend a week together. The pool was perfect for the unseasonably hot weather and we enjoyed eating our family dinners on the screen porch with a cool lake breeze. The lake view from the assorted decks was gorgeous and we were a short trip into town whenever we needed supplies. We only had one minor issue and the owners were super responsive in quickly resolving it. Thank you for making our first trip to Maine so memorable!”

Maine Estate was AWESOME

We loved our stay at the Maine Coastline estate. The house had so much charm and the views were amazing. We enjoyed the direct access to the river. It was in an excellent location for day trips to many of the local towns as well as Acadia NP. I highly recommend this home to those looking to visit the coast of Maine.”

Amazing home in a great location!

We had been to Portland and Bar Harbor Maine but had never vacationed in Phippsburg. We had a great time in this spacious and well appointed home with a beautiful view. Our trip to the Botanical Gardens was terrific experience. We hope to return some day! ”

Charming

Our stay at Phippsburg Classic Maine home was cozy. The home was spacious and enjoyed the fireplaces in the living room and bedroom. The views were beautiful and seen from nearly every part of the house. Enjoyed cooking in the well apportioned kitchen. Close to several charming towns and the Owners Matt and Jenny did a good job giving us plenty of suggestions on things to do. The elevator was a great feature for getting luggage to the second floor. ”

Maine Classic

Nice location perched on top of a bluff overlooking the water. The house has several living spaces to accommodate a large family with ease. The pool was a nice touch as was the yoga/exercise space. The owners were quick to respond to questions. ”

This is a wonderful home, inside and out. The kitchen is very well equipped and laid out. We enjoyed the beautiful views from all of the many windows. The pool and hot tub were a real treat. The owners were very helpful and responsive. We would happily return.”

Wonderful Maine state

Private with lovely river views, but uncomfortably hot during our stay ...

Large very private and peaceful house with ever changing river views - osprey and bald eagles were regular visitors. An interesting area to explore with lovely beaches and pretty towns - we'd been in Maine for 3 weeks so we only explored the local area. It was very hot when we stayed at the end of August and the house cooling system just could not cope so the house never really got below 80 degrees which impacted our enjoyment as it was uncomfortably hot, luckily there were fans and a cold pool which kept us sane. The kitchen was without doubt the best equipped of any house we've stayed in but the outside furniture was tired and really needs upgrading. The hosts were responsive and helpful, thank you for hosting us.”

Great home near the coast

Our stay was great. We had a large family group and there was plenty of room for us to spread out. Pool and hot tub were a nice bonus, although a little chilly even with the heater. Home was clean and well maintained. It's pretty remote, but close enough to Bath and other coastal towns to dine out or get groceries. If you do visit, Winnegance Restaurant is a hidden gem for breakfast or lunch...we loved the local vibe and country cooking.”

Beautiful home in Shippsburg Maine near Bath.

My wife and I definitely enjoyed our early September stay at this wonderful roomy waterfront home tucked in the woods by the Kenebec River. Our guests to the property included wild turkeys and deer. The heated pool and hot tub were great features and travel to nearby attractions such as Bath, Boothbay Harbor, Brunswick and Freeport was easy. We highly recommend this comfortable and well appointed home.”

Classic Maine Coastline Estate

We can't say enough good things about this property. It's apparent as you walk in the front door that the owners take great pride in their home and make every attempt to assure that their visitors feel welcome and comfortable. They are very helpful in providing names of excellent retaurants and activities in the area. The location is especially good in that all of the major Maine coastline attractons are within 1 to 11/2 hr drive, with the exception of Bar Harour. Sue and Steve Aichele”

Beautiful House

Classic Coastline Maine Estate is a very spacious and well decorated comfortable house on a bluff above the water. The views are incredible, especially from the master bedroom. Several times we saw bald eagles cruising by at eye level. The property is conveniently located for day trips to nearby coastal towns. We were lucky to have beautiful spring days in April. Would love to return in the summer when the pool is open and the dock is in the water. The owners were great, thank you JennyBess for allowing us to bring our dog Rosie. She gave it 6 stars out of 5 and especially loved morning trips to Fort Popham and a run on the beach there.”
